Try resetting BIOS.
If issue persist, check whether your harddisk is detected in BIOS.
If its detected and still you have this problem, try removing the harddisk and reconnecting it again.

Factory reset nextbook

I have a Nextbook Ares 10 A. The easiest way is to go to settings click on backup reset. U shud see the option to factory reset. Click it. It will ask if u r sure. Click yes. The device will shut down then a black screen comes up. You control this screen with volume buttons and power button. Using volume button scroll down to factory reset, click power button. It will ask r u sure. Click power button again. The factory reset will start. When it's done the same black screen will pop up. Use power button and click reboot. Ur done. Note:. This will not change the OS u r currently running, just all data, settings, app updates etc. Hope this helps.
tip

How to factory reset (restore) your nextbook

make sure you start with the nextbook powered off
first hold the volume + button and then hit the power button and continue to hold both for about ten seconds (give or take;more than likely give a few more seconds) when the opening screen or start screen appears wait a bit more until it goes black once it goes black then release the power button. what you should see next is a few lines on the top of a black background with options listed on what you can do next if you are here for a reset to factory then you will use the volume - button to move to the line that indicates factory reset. once selected the line of choice you will hit the power button which will cause it to reboot or there may be a few more questions to answer answer then it may reboot at this point to a fresh factory boot if it does not then you may have to make a call to tech support to figure out what is happening this is basically the only suggestion of how to reset the nextbook. best of luck

PLEASE HELP! nextbook 7p12 is stuck on the black screen with green words saying "upgrading...please wait" for about an hour.

Either you wait for it to update or you can turn off the nextbook on the side. If you don't want updates to occur you should consider turning off it's connection.

When I turn my comp on, I get the Dell screen, then a black screen with a flashin cursor. When pressing f8 for safe-mode, nothing happens. Just a black screen with flashing cursor. Please help

Unplug all external USB devices to your computer and power it back up again.

If you can start the computer, then you probably have a faulty USB device connected to your computer.
