Turn the unit off, check the bottom rear of the unit and place a shallow pan under the drain outlet and remove the rubber plug to drain the condensate out of the unit then replace the plug and turn the unit back on.

I don't know much about A.C.s, but recently, I got this Genie Aire from a cousin of mine but for some reason, when I turn it on, it'll be cool for about 5minutes and than after that the cool would blow the other way where the exhause/tubing part goes. My cousin said he kinda messed with the wiring and stuff, but not too sure if that is the case?! Anyways, the point is this: it'll be cool/cold(fan) for about 5minutes on 60 degrees and than it'll be warm/not blowing cooly after for about 20minutes or so. What is the problem? Is it the wirings for the remotes? Is it the fans? Please help, it would be great of your assistant. -Chris from Kwajalein Marshall Islands.(Southwest Pacific Islands) Thank you much...

I want to use this portable AC in a room where I cannot vent it out the window. I was told this was possible but have never done it before (the machine is from 2001). How exactly do I do this? Obviously I would still need to empty the container where all the condensation collects, but what else? I need to know this before 10 AM Thursday PDT, so would appreciate a prompt reply. Thanks in advance-- Roberta
