Question about Philips 42PFL5332D 42 in. LCD Television
I have a phillips 42pfl5332d/37 lcd hd tv and have owned for 2 years. In the past six months it has started acting up the screen will go black or have all sorts of weird colors on it and it wont respond to any remote functions. This is the 3rd time its happened the previous two times after a few days of not displaying a black or weird picture it would start working by itself. Its been 2 days now since the latest incident and still no picture what do you think problme is

It sounds like the entire screen goes blank with your problem. My problem is the lower half of the screen goes blank. Do you think the SSB is also the problem? What are your thoughts about the "Video Board" or the X Board?
Do you know where to purchase parts?

SOURCE: 37" Philips LCD no sound.
Maybe the antenna that you are using is not picking up sound from the channels. It could also be the cable. If it makes a humming noise, it means that the speakers are getting electric current and that they SHOULD be okay. It also could be your tuner. Maybe check it all out at some tech place like best buy. Those guys can help
