Question about Wacom Bamboo Fun - small - black (CTE450K1) Graphic Tablet

2 Answers

After using my Wacom bamboo tablet with Photoshop for a while, my keyboard suddenly goes haywire. It's as if the space key or the enter key is being held down. This makes typing impossible. The only thing that makes it stop is rebooting. I'm using it with Photoshop CS3 in Windows 7.

Hi,
This would have to be a driver problem. If your driver is not configurated for Windows 7, It may have a compatibility problem.

Try holding down whichever key on the keyboard that seems to be the culprit and then click with your tablet mouse.  I used to have this problem with my bamboo and I'm using Mac.  For me, it was like the control button was being held down when I'd let the computer idle for a long time.

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

Go to Control Panel, and open bamboo properties. There you select the "pen" tab. In the pen tab you will see tracking. Select pen mode and details. You can map the pad there. After mapping pen mode try it in mouse mode as well. Best of luck!

Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

Hello,

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=196 Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009

This update should allow Vista to find it.
