My air conditioner won't turn off , is there a way to fix it myself

If it's the outside unit then maybe the contactor stuck close .
Pull 1 wire out from the side of the contactor and if it's still pull in then contactor is bad .
Can't say much because description is not enough

Inside , outside, heat, cooling , model number???
