Replacing starter on charbroil advantage grill but don't know how to remove starter that is currently in place

Most starters just unscrew, the battery cover 1st then the rest comes loose by pushing 2levers together on the back of the starter. here is char-broils web site link with the model number you can find a manual and it should help you with your particular grill.

My electric start button will not spark when pushing down, the grill is only one year old.

The issue might just be that the battery powering the starter is dead. There should be a small compartment where there is a small battery stored. Change out that battery as well as making sure all of the wires from the battery to the button to the lighter are all connected well.
Hope that helps!

Ignition button does not work, need to light manual on Napoleon P600RB, and the grill uses a lot more gas than our previous Weber

The push button peizo ignitor may simply have lost it's ground. Trace the wiring fro the push button igniter to peizo spark ignitor(s) at the burner(s). The wire simply slides onto a needle like pin, on the bottom of the peizo. Gingerly, pull the wire off and then slide it back on. This should reestablish the ground. Also check the spark ignitors to make sure they're not covered with grease. If they are, clean them with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol.

As far as gas consumption is concerned, some gills do use more than others to reach sear temperatures. Usually, because of their burner design or configuration. However, once you preheat your grill to he temperature you want, that doesn't mean the flame height has to remain the same all the time. Once you start cooking, there's no reason you can't turn the burner(s) down some and conserve fuel.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling.

How do I attach the ignitor wire? where do I do this...I know it's @ B but where?

The single ignitor wire should attach at the back of the "push button" starter. It will be on the front panel and probably says "push to light".

Webber grill won't ignite

Bad starter you can get one at Home Depot! If that does not work it is a bad electrode!

Weber propane gas grill starter is broken how to fix???

Depends on what is broken. It could be the igntion, either a push button piezo that clicks once, or a push button electronic that will click as long as you hold the button down. If it is the piezo, it has to be replaced. If it is the electronic, it will have a battery that you can replace.

If the problem is not the ignition, then you have to check the wire from the ignition for bad insulation that would create a short.

It could also be the electrode, it could have a cracked porcelain jacket.

If you are sure, replace all three.

Starter button doesn't work. can't be pushed down so grill won't start. do I need a battery for this part?

When the igniters stop working the backs are corroded. Clean well and reinstall or replace altogether. In the meantime you can use long fireplace matches to light the burner until you are ready to effect repairs.

Ducane 3400042 lighting problems

Good answer... but remember (if you have the regular burners on... The Rotisserie will not light.) 1. Cut all knobs off... Then push and hold in Rotisserie button as you turn to high.
2. Press ignition button, until you hear rotisserie ignite. 3. Keep holding in the rotisserie button until the thermostat realizes the gas is on and burning. (IT must get hot enough to keep gas flowing.) Hope that helps, Dave
