Question about Canon PIXMA iP4000 InkJet Photo Printer
Refilled cartridges replaced, printer says black ink can not be detected, cleaned contacts still not working, replaced cartridges still not working, tried different printer no luck. What could be the problem.
the canons do look to see if they new original or 'fake' cartridges
often the chip on the cartridge will tell the printer that it it over used and refuse to accept it
try a new black and see how it goes
sometimes things are designed to wear out and not work
many printer makers do this with their cartridges and drums
my laser has done this recently
