Have you plugged the speakers in to the right ports? for sound IN and OUT

so lets do a quick follow here sound from TV is AUDIO OUT PLUG say red (L)and yellow (R) to SPEAKER L and R Power to speakers is on and the volume is set to medium or at least not to zero. Play something through the line are the speakers working, is ther eany humm or nasty roiugh humming bbbrp sound? No? is there a red light on speakers to indicate they have power? no? check that there is a on off switch at the rear and it is set to on.

If they are new and you have folloowed the procedure I woulod be having them checked by the shop you bought them from.

Boss oethe left side of my headphone is stop working

Hi,

The most common cause for this, is a loose wire connection to that speaker (as opposed to the speaker being faulty).

Has anyone pulled the cord too tight or tripped on the cord? If yes, then the internal wire connecting that speaker has an internal break somewhere.

Try the following:

1) Plug headphones into music device and turn on.
2) Gently press the wire 'in' at the left earpiece (or wiggle at the earpiece end). If sound returns intermittently, then you have n internal wire break in that end of the cord.
3) Gently press the wire 'in' at the plug where it connects to your player (or wiggle the cord at the plug end). If sound returns, then there is an internal wire break at this end of the cord.

In the case of broken internal wires, it is possible to repair.

Although very fragile, it is possible to resolder these tiny wires (you'll have to burn off the enamel coating around these wires first) back onto their respective connections, or onto a new plug.

Good luck....

I was using my dell latitude d510 just fine the other day the only thing that was wrong is the battery wont charge so it always had to be plugged in. well from using the charger so much it finally stop...

The problem could be with the port the cord connects too. It could also be with the battery. If you take the battery out, and you still can't run on AC power, you need to replace the port. Take it to a computer/hardware shop and have it done.

I recently moved and after i plugged up my pc the speakers dont work. they dont even turn on. any ideas?

If you have external speakers with no power, I would first ask if you plugged in the speakers power supply cord? That would seem to be the main problem....No power to the speakers.

If this is not the problem, let me know and we will look into this further.

Speaker no power

The AC power transformer (black box on the end of the cord) is probably bad. All you have to do is find another 12vdc power adaptor and the speakers will probably work again.
If you have dc volt meter you can plug the power in and put one lead on the inside of the connecter and the other on the outside of the connector to see if you have any voltage coming out of the transformer. If your meter is not digital put the red(+) on the inside and black(-) on the outside. You should read 12vdc.

New pair of La Cie speakers. Dell pc. Not sure whee o plug in varous leads, but it now does the beefs etc on Windows. But when I put a CD in there is no sound at all

Hi there,

I think you were disconnected from our conversation. Anyway, the LaCie speaker is USB powered so you dont have to plug it into a power source because they will be powered by the USB port. You dont need to plug them into a speaker output on the computer as well. Just plug the USB cable of the speaker into your computer's usb port. As for the other speaker, there is a cord that used to connect the speakers together. Just plug it underneath the first speaker, that says "speaker" source. Then go to your Control panel >> Multimedia >> Audio and choose them as your Audio Output device.

Good luck!

I dont know how to set it up. I put the green cord in the computer..but theres one black cord and i dont know what to do with it.

There should be ONE stereo miniplug to be connected to the headphones output of the computer, and one power supply plug to be connected to the AC adapter. These speakers do need a power supply, since they have an internal amplifier.

your speaker connections are plugged in incorrectly or the speakers are not plugged in and powered on.

Speakers not working-- can only hear using headphones w/computer

unplug your headphones, and plug the speaker cord into that jack. its possible that the speakers you are using require power either by a cord or batteries and without them, it wont play sound. also, possible, your speakers are bad.

My iPod stopped playing through speakers- but only at work...

Esmurfette

First things First!
1) check on other speakers to see if your iPod work fine
2) check connector for loosing electric connectivity.
3) check with your headphones to see if your iPod play music well.
4) Check, power on the computer spk. you got. or the input that is working right.
Good Luck
