Hdmi not detected by HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx Entertainment Notebook PC

You may want to check your dispaly properties to make sure that your display is set to HDMI instead of laptop display in the control panel under display properties. On many laptops, this can be done by pressing the "fn" key and a key with a blue symbol of two screens on it. This toggles between your primary display and external ones.

My HP Pavilion dv5 1125nr laptop won't boot up. The screen never lights up when the power is turned on, the little hard drive light next to the power light doesn't flash at all (normally it flashes...

check by removing the battery then put it back again power it on, or without battery power it on directly then check, if still the same problem, the fault is in the motherboard of the laptop, better take it the service center or consult some technician in your area

HP dv5-1000us. as soon as you turn on the laptop, minding we just put in a new motherboard, the caps lock and scroll lock light flash.

Does the system boot up properly and function normally?
If so don't worry about the flashing.
Some motherboards have a self check function that causes those lights to flash .
