Norstar phone M7310 Phone line is stuck on line in use. Release button and unplugging did not fix the phone

Sounds like a **** button.

Unplug the phone and rake (pull your fingers across) the face of the phone...
The button that you have programmed for your accountant sounds like a good place to start looking.

You need to unplug something, just not the phone.

The two lines are probably conferenced together. Go find the gray Nortel cabinet and pull the plug on it.

It sounds like although they're labeled as line buttons actually they're programmed as station buttons.
If you press feature *0 and one of the buttons it will tell you what the button is programmed as.
Also did you try pressing the intercom button then dialing 9? that might be the way the set was programmed.

Power lines were replaed t/o our building over the weekend. Coming into work today the M7310 had messages but it will not let me access them. I hit MSG, NEXT, but it goes immediately to FLASKTK and stays there until I release it. THoughts?

Nothing in programming typically would help with exception to maybe swap by plugging in a M7208 into your problem jack then swap back to m7310 again. Going to 08 and back to 10 can sometime clears issues otherwise sounds like a bad phone and needs repair.
