Usually a faulty electrical component breaking down. The insulation factor is deteriorating due to an electrical short in the component. Prolonged use will eventually shorten the 15 minutes and have it catch fire while in use. Get it fixed or ditch it before you get burned, electrocuted or it causes house fire

I don't think you can get them. Try a knife repair shop.

I have Conair dog clippers. They were working fine one minute and stopped the next. How can I repair them myself?

If you can pinpoint the cause of the problem, generally you can find replacement parts and do it yourself. Just be 100% sure you know exactly what you are doing to avoid further damage to the tool, or injury to yourself.

Does someone know which # blade to use with the Oster, universal comb set for use with the Oster A5 turbo clipper?

Hi, as far as I know you're suppose to use a size 10 or 30 blade with any combs. I prefer to buy a longer blade like a size 4 rather than using the combs as I find the coat finish not great with the combs.

It sounds like a faulty motor if they are under a year old send then back who you purchased them from otherwise it could be a costly repair.

Oster A5 clippers work briefly then "pull" hair

Lever arm worn, blade blunt, or loss of movement inside the gearbox. It is possible to have a 'bad' sharpen.

I'm sorry if this sounds academic, but regardless of whether or not the problem lies with the clipper or the blade set itself, since it is brand new, return it to the seller.

Blade won't cut

Try replacing the Drive Lever which is located at the end of the clipper and goes from side to side, simply undo the two screws on the name plate/ gearbox cover and remove then pull the lever out. This is the most likely cause if you experiance the same problem with all blades.
