I have a canon calculator TX-220H. Something has upset the tax rate. How do change it back to 10%?

Just follow these steps:

1) Enter the percentage of your Tax Rate (in your case 10)

2) Hold down the RATE key, SET key, and TAX+.

3) Then release the RATE key.

Your Tax Rate should now be set back to 10%.

Need to clear old tax rate and set new tax rate.

  1. To change the tax rate, first press AC.
  2. Then press SET % for 2 seconds.
  3. Next, press TAX+, then enter the new or current tax rate.
  4. Enter the rate for a single digit tax rate such as 5% as 5, a single number; if you have a fractional percentage rate, such as 5.75%, enter it just that way: the 5, then a decimal and followed by 7& 5.
  5. Then press SET % and you're done!

Change tax rate oncalculator

Press the [ac] button, then press and hold the [tax+] button for a second or two. Then enter the tax rate you want as a percentage. You would enter 8.25% sales tax as 8.25 for instance. Then press the [%] key to set the rate. Notice that printed above the [tax+] button is "tax rate" and above the [%] key is "rate set" as a reminder of which key to press.

To change the task number you must press and hold % (rate set) for 3 to 5 seconds, should appear tax XX %, now type your tax number and press % again and AC. To test type "100" press TAX + and the result should be 110, if your tax rate is 10% for example.
