Hi

Please check the following things that could stop a gas dryer from heating:- glow bar igniter, thermal fuse ( not all models ), coils on the gas valve, gas valve, thermostats, motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, sensor.
A page for checking gas dryers is here.

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Dryer is not getting hot . The vent is clean and only warm. it is a gas whirlpool. Thanks

On cotton setting you ought to be getting 155f out the vent. maybe 160f max. You have warm air so everything must be working. That tells me the coils need replacing. they get weak and they get hot. Feel the coils after a few times and the bad coil will be very hot to the touch. the coils are sold in pairs for $20 I have a great link that shows what to do HERE
and I have another page HERE

I have almost the same problem... but I have plenty of heat.

If it's takeing that long and your element (coil) is that hot your exhaust is probablly blocked it will need to be cleaned out.

My dryer doesn't stay lit

This could be a operating thermostat/thermister if it comes back on again and continues that cycle. If it stays off a long time then it could be the coils on the gas valve. Eric

You have a thermal cut-off . located on the burner box . The box you installed the element . That is probably the part that it bad .

I have a Whirlpool gold Ultimate Care II gas dryer and 2/3 times the ignitor glows and lights the gas, 1/3 times it won't. When the gas does light, it doesn't seem like it's getting hot enough to do...

I would suggest the coils on the gas valve . Also check the vent to make sure good air flow is getting out of the dryer . Try disconnecting the vent hose and drying a load to determine if maybe the vent is the problem .

Dryer wont stay hot. it gets cold after first load

If dryer lights for a few minutes and will not stay lit, I believe the solenoid coils will need to be replaced. Click on link below, enter your model number lgr5620kq1 in model search feature and go to the dryer page it shows a breakdown view of your dryer. Also go to common solutions and look for gas dryer problems. I will also be here to help you, Sea Breeze

Strange issue with my gas dryer and the control panel I am having a strange issue with my dryer. I have a Whirlpool gas dryer, Model: GGW9250PW0; and am having issues with the Electronic Control (mfg part 8558753). Yesterday, I went to go use the dryer and I press the "Control On" button like normal, but nothing happened. I did not get any lights or anything, yet when I open the door, the inside light comes on. I have a similar model washer plugged into the same electric outlet and everything there works fine. After researching the issue out a bit, I took off the toe panel and took off the duct-lint (mfg part W10128606) so that I could reach the wires connected to the dryer thermister and dryer thermal fuse better. I then took the wires off both of those as well as disconnected the sensor wiring harness (mfg part 3406653) and used a vacuum to clean out any lint as well as compressed air to clean off those connectors. I re-hooked all the wires back up and plugged the dryer in. I pressed the "Control On" button and all the proper lights lit up. I then pressed the "Cancel" button to turn it off, unplugged the dryer, and put the duct-lint back on. I plugged the dryer back in and tried the "Control On" and "Cancel" again, and it still worked. I then put the toe panel back on, pushed "Control On", then turned on the dryer using the "Hold to Start" button and everything worked like it used to. Here is the strange issue I am having. I ran a load in the washer and when done, I put in the dryer and tried the "Control On" button. Everything came up, but when I pressed the "Hold to Start", nothing happened. I then tried to press the "Cancel" button, and nothing happened. I could turn the knob and the different lights lit up, but none of the buttons seemed to be working. After holding the "Cancel" button for a few seconds it turned off the panel lights. I then pushed the "Control On" button again and had to press it a few times before the panel lights came on. After a little bit of playing with the buttons and knob, I was able to start the dryer. I stopped the dryer (didn't want to run it the whole time in case something is wrong) and tried to start it again. I can get the panel lights to come on, but it seems like the buttons are sticking and not fully working like they should. I don't want to have to buy an expensive part unless I absolutely need to and wanted to see if anyone can think of anything else that might be going on or that I could try before paying almost $200 for a new Electronic Control, especially if I will still have the same problem after replacing this part like some other people have reported. Thanks!
