No sound from CA 2014 speakers

My speakers work (i tried them with a cd box). i also think i have them properly hooked up (light green to light green). Also made sure the sound is on and the mute is off. I am not getting any sound. Any ideas? Do I need a special driver?

You should not need special drivers for your PC. Check closely where you are plugging them in (use a flashlight to see well) and make sure it is for the sound 'out'... sometimes the colors do NOT match up. As an example the out on my PC is green but the in is blue.

Make sure the computer output is set to Analog, not digital. If the Spkrs work with a CD box, they are analog. Speakers don't need drivers unless they are integrated to a sound card. like USB 5.1 systems.

My speakers are not working. The green light is showing and the green plug is in the green socket

Hi, the speakers are fine it's the motherboard socket for the speakers that's got the problem. You could buy a sound card for one of your pc board slots that would give you your sound back.

I just bought new cyber acoustics ca-2014 computer speakers from office depot, they do not work on either one of my computers it doesnt even recognize them hooked up,is there a download for my computer to...

1. Verify that the speakers are plugged into the correct jack on the soundcard.

2. Check volume on both the speakers as well as Volume properties on the computer. You may have mute checked or the volume turned down.

If neither of the above correct the problem, you may have an issue with your soundcard. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. If all else fails, you may have a faulty soundcard.

No speaker sound

There sometimes are three connectors on a sound card that are similar. A speaker output, microphone input, and stereo headphone output.

Try all three, if you accidentally put it on the microphone input you won't get sound output of that one, so try another.

Also, check in the speaker control panel for the sound to be checked to mute or volume turned all the way down.

Hi,

Disconnect the speaker source cable from your computer and to a MP3, CD Player, or anything else with 3.5mm headphone jack. If your speakers work on this source, you know are okay. And the issue lies on PC or Connector/Sound card.

Also please tell me, if you were able to hear sound with other speaker or headset.

Riztech

I get no sound from my speakers.

Power light is on, so the power adaptor should be ok.

If you touch a finger to the tip of the input plug (below) with the volume about halfway up, do you get a buzzing sound?

  • YES - speakers are working, something wrong in the PC
  • NO - speakers are dead, need repair or replacement. (replacing is cheaper if you don't know enough electronics to fix them yourself)
Try this and let me know the answer.

Install cd for monsoon

What makes you think you need special drivers for your Monsoon speakers? Do other speakers work properly when hooked up to your PC? Borrow a pair from somebody else if you don't have any other speakers you can try, and check. If they don't work either, Monsoon drivers are not your problem. I'm not saying nobody ever needs drivers for speakers to work with a computer, but normally, drivers for the speakers are not the issue if you're not getting sound through them.

The sound card driver and sound settings in BIOS, sound settings in Windows and for the sound card, and physical issues about the way the speakers are hooked up or whether the speakers themselves are functional are much more common sources of trouble than drivers for the speakers.

Start your troubleshooting process with this webpage:

If that one doesn't seem to address your issue, try websearching for other options with a phrase such as: troubleshoot no sound PC speakers.

Sound

Make sure your volume is not on mute. If the speaker icon on your lower right has a red x means its on mute. To test go to control panel and double click sounds and test. If Windows sounds work without speakers then problem is with speakers. Make sure volume is up, make sure its properly connected to correct output jack (usually green or light green). Also make sure speaker power on. If those things are correct check your device manager ( right click my computer) select "manage", click on "device manager" and on right pane check to see if theres any yellow exclamation, question mark or red x on the sound device section. Yellow exclamation or question mark means to update or install correct drivers. Check your speaker box if it comes with a CD.

I have a philips cd player model# FW-C70/37, that has power going to it but has no sound coming from any of the speakers, nor will the cd changer open.

cd players work without use of volume controls coax cables hook up's and then by setting reciever to proper button so sound can come out
you might have had a power surge that fried your system but lets look at easy stuff first
fuses
lines in properly and connected
test on an old sterio with speaker hook ups and test your speakers by plugging in to old beat box
make sure wires are not scorched
turn on receiver fm see if speakers work change channels to sterio and mono settings if speakers start to work on sterio or mono setting chances are power surge blew out your system
hope this worked
