How to pair philips shb6100 with ipad2

First, in order to pair the iPad to a Bluetooth device you need to make sure the Bluetooth device is discoverable. Refer to the instruction manual for the device (which you can find online usually if you lost it) on how to do this. Typically, it just involves holding down a button for a few seconds. Next, you need to turn the iPad's Bluetooth capability on. Go to Settings by touching the Settings App icon that looks like gears. Within Settings, select General and then Bluetooth. Once you are in the Bluetooth screen, press the on/off switch to turn Bluetooth on. Make sure it reads "on". Once you turn on Bluetooth, you should see the discoverable Bluetooth device show up on the screen as part of a list. Select the device you wish to pair with the iPad. Depending on the device, it may prompt you for a password. Refer to the Bluetooth device's product manual for this password. Hope this helps

I am trying to pair a Discovery 925 to an ipod touch (2nd generation). It recognizes "9xxPlantronics Not Connected" I click on that bar (or line) and get the keyboard screen with the request to enter...

I might be wrong, but I think the iPod Touch, not being a phone, doesn't have either HSP (HeadSet Profile) or HFP (Hands Free Profile) bluetooth profiles, solely used for phone calls. Nevertheless, being an audio/video reproduction device, it must have A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile), from its 2nd-gen onwards. Your problem is that the Plantronics 925, being a monoaural bluetooth headset, bears HSP and HFP only. You were able to successfully pair it with your TP2 because it is a phone. You must purchase stereo bluetooth headsets, in order to pair them with your iPod Touch.
Just my 2 cents... Carlos

Garmin NUVI 660 BlueTooth

I had the same problem, and this is how I fixed it. Now it's working fine.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International,

If you are currently running the most current version of bluetooth software, and you are still seeing issues where your compatible phone is still not connecting properly, please try the below procedure, which will reinstall the version of bluetooth you have downloaded in case there was any corruption during the transfer or installation of the bluetooth version.

1. Power the unit on

2. Touch View Map

3. Touch the ETA/Speed button in the bottom left hand corner.

4. press and hold your finger over the speedometer for 10-15 seconds until a new screen appears.

5. Touch next at the bottom of the screen until the top blue banner reads Bluetooth Status.

6. Touch UPDT P, then Touch yes.

7. At this point the unit should go to a page that says Updating Bluetooth Firmware, allow this to finish, once finished, press quit, then press and hold the back button. At this point, go back through and try to connect your Bluetooth device again.
