GA-EP43-UD3L restart loop

Have 2 GA-EP43-UD3L mobos in 2 diff. PCs.
Both have same issue: power up fine from cold start or
using reset button. When PC is shut down using (soft)
power button and the PC is restarted with power button,
PC starts up, shuts down, starts up, shuts down indefinitely. Only solution is to turn off power
at power supply, drain, and restart (a real pain). Using
Antec (650w0 and Ultra (600w) PSs, quality vid, RAM, etc. Both using Intel quads
(9400 and 9550, oc'd, temps in 30s C.,Arctic Freezer Pro 7 and
Zerotherm Zen 120. Thanks for any help. Bioses F1-F4 have same issue.

GA-EP43 -UD3L motherboard will not boot with 16 GB of memory

Time to RMA, sounds like you have a faulty memory channel on the MB. Possibility the slots are not getting enough power to handle all 4, you try to see if you can increase power in bios.

I want to reset BOIS password for Gigabyte GA EP43 motherboard which has no jumper, i try to remove battery but the problem unsolved~

There is a CLR CMOS jumper on that MB next to the SYS FAN 2 connector by the IDE header

open = no clr
jumped= Clear CMOS

From the manual page 32

Use this jumper to clear the CMOS values (e.g. date information and BIOS configurations) and

reset the CMOS values to factory defaults. To clear the CMOS values, place a jumper cap on the

two pins to temporarily short the two pins or use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch the two

pins for a few seconds.

• Always turn off your computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before

clearing the CMOS values.

• After clearing the CMOS values and before turning on your computer, be sure to remove

the jumper cap from the jumper. Failure to do so may cause damage to the motherboard.

• After system restart, go to BIOS Setup to load factory defaults (select Load Optimized

Defaults) or manually configure the BIOS settings (refer to Chapter 2, "BIOS Setup," for

BIOS configurations).

EP43-UD3L Sound problem

you will need to download the newest drivers for your motherboard, make sure you download the right ones for your operating system. I used to go to the manufacturer's website to do this all the time but now i'm lazy and i just google: (motherboard model) drivers download. By the way i don't ever mess with disks anymore because its bound to be outdated by the time you get it.. they make good coffee mug coasters though.

Flashed bios wont boot ga-ep43-ud3l

Hi,
Seems like your bios update failed, was corrupt, wrong version or was interrupted.

It's very difficult to recover from a failed bios flash , but if you are lucky you can try clearing cmos then take the battery out overnight. Then reinstall battery and do a HARD BOOT.

If that does not work try this site and read recent comments.

Good luck,

Continuous short beeps on power up.Then shuts down and trys again, then repeats beep sequence. 21 beeps in total before attempts to reboot. Power - 550W Q9400 Intel ESC 9600GT Video card 8 Gig DDR2

enter bios setup and check the temperature of your mobo and cpu if it's above normal and also check the cpu fan's speed if theres no problem with these three then try to remove all the expansion cards you have then reset the memory modules if the beeping continues try a different PSU and memory modules.
