How can I set up Modem settings?

to get the modem configuration page It depends on the router which is used by your ISP . there are different types of routers used like NETGEAR, HUAWEI, CISCO etc

Most of the ISP uses NETGEAR , so to get the modem configuration page you need to type http://192.168.1.1, if it is not the NETGEAR router then you need to type http://192.168.0.1, there are big list for the different routers different ip is used.

When you forward the packets by entering http://192.168.1.1 if it is the correct one then your router will not forward those packets to others, the router itself will display you the configuration page i mean it doesnot forward those packets .
you can search the different routers and their list of the addresses to get the modem configuration page.

if you are using the USB modem or wireless connections those things which are discussed earlier doesnot apply because USB modem or wireless connection works on different mechanism, The single public ip address can shared to the large number of users and there may be large number of users working on the single public ip ...
