Trying to hook up playstation 3 with either HDMI cable or RCA cable Neither one is producing anything? WHat could be the problem?

For the HDMI your TV input for that HDMI input may be skipped you should check and make sure that it is not greyed out and that you can select it. For the RCA.... You should make sure that you are hooking it up right. You either have composite cable 1 yellow video and a red and either white or black left and right audio to Yellow video and Red and white on the TV, or you have component which will be red green and blue all three will be for video and you will need 2 more rca jacks for audio. It matters where you plug the red green and blue cables as well. getting them backwards either won't work or will give you a tinted picture.

Additionally, make sure that your TV doesn't share inputs. Some TVs will have Video 1 and it will be composite RCA and HDMI and you can select which to use. if it sais HDMI one and Video one you should be fine there if both say video one or the like they are likely shared

Hope this helps!

No Color Picture

Are you using the Red/Green/Blue cables or are you using the Red/Yellow/White?

Also make sure you are matching the colors up correctly. If you find that you only have two of the three RYW, try hooking it up to another AV jack on the side or front of the new TV. If you are using the RGB, sometimes in low light settings, the blue and green are easily mixed up.

Another thing you might want to try is changing your settings on your tv for NTSC as it might be set up for PAL.

Red tint on xbox 360 display

From what i understand, any strange video problem is typically a telltale sign that a red ring of death is in the near future. In past consoles I've repaired, people have complained about "tinting", "lines", etc etc.... if your console is still under warranty, I would suggest sending it back to them. Or you can find someone like myself who does repairs.

No Video or Audio on HDTV/No Vodeo on Standard TV

Don't worry , You did everything right . The problem is
the G.P.U. . It has de-solder it self from the main board.
The only reliable repair that will last is to have it
re-flowed back to the main board and properly
re-clamp that will fix 99.9% of most problem.
Permanently ,cost should be around 80.00

if you have any questions feel free to email me.

Picture is distorted

IF your TV has a magic focus button on it that might help. And a good way to fix the red rings issue is when you get them you have to unplug your console for a day and replug it in and everything should be fine, atleast that is was my friend told me.

First had some red tint on screen/now only sound

Sorry to say, but I have the same issue just yesterday. Your console is Hosed. request a repair through Microsoft. go to and click on support you'll find it. Good luck with the replacement. I have 1 console with no video and another with RRoD both died within 30 minutes of each other. I'm on my 7th replacement.

Turning everything green

Do you have speakers near your tv? If so then its the picture tube on your tv. And the only way to fix that if so is about 20 mins with another magnet to pull the colors back thru. Oh and remove the speakers for the tv.

Hello my name is steve

1. Make sure the Cable is properly connected to the back of the Xbox.

2. Make sure the Cble is properly connected to the inputs on the TV (Color coded if using component or composite cables).

3. Look on the large part of the cable where it plugs into the Xbox. There is a switch with two settings: HDTV and TV. If using the component cables (Green, Blue, Red + White Red), turn the switch to HDTV. If using the composite cables (Yellow, White, Red), switch it to TV.

4. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft at 800 4MY - XBOX . It's a toll free number but it isn't 24 hour.
