Question about Washing Machines

2 Answers

Like you previously advised someone I too cannot remove the drain plug on my Bosck logixx 1400 washing machine and although I have tried to pull hard - even using mole grips I just cant remove the drain plug cover. I can only rotate the cover from 12.00 to 10.00 anticlockwise and again having to use mole grips. Do you have to turn the cap to 9.00 and if so how can I do this as it seems to have stuck. using the mole grips has already stated to break the part you turn so i am reluctant to use even more brute force.

OK brute force it is then with some care but before I do this I asume that you have to rotate the drain plug cover a certain amount before you can pull it out, the question is how far do I have to rotate it before it will come out or does it just keep unscrewing. For example should it rotate to 9.00 o'clock like it looks in the instructions or 6.000 or how far

Thanks for your help so far

Sounds like the gasket underneath the cover is stopping you. There is only one way.. Brute force. Try going back clockwise again. To avoid breaking it even worse, try putting a flatt piece of metal or long ways on both sides of where you grab with the grips. This will spread the grabing point out and not put so much pressure on one spot. This should avoid cracking. You don't want to pinch it, you want a firm grip on it. Try grabbing it a different way. You still have to apply brute force and move it back and forth untill you get it off. Maybe try and spray some WD-40 on it and let it sit for awhile. Good luck and cast a positive vote..Have a great day..

What happens when you select the spin, or drain cycle? Does the washer drain the water and commence with the cycle? If the water does not drain then the door will not unlock on it's own. The pull cord should open the door regardless. If the water is not draining, remove the lower right access panel and check the strainer for excess debris. Pleazer Appliance...

I have a Bosch Logixx 8 1200 When i turn it on it bleeps and f 37 comes on but it is in a warm dry kitchen, the door won't lock, when I hit the temperature button twice the frost light appears ?

this a problem water level switch
Remove the air hose from the water level switch, and blow into the hose,as hard as possible, to clear any debris that may have accumulated in the hose.

Remove the lower panel, and remove the filter from the drain pump and check and clear any debris from the filter and the interior of the pump, and hoses.

These pumps have a tendency to be noisy, if it's still functioning and you can put up with the noise it will work fine. You could replace it if you wanted to though.

Bosch logixx 1400 express washing machine spin is not working . ALSO THE WATER IS NOT BEING DRAINED OUT IN THE NORMAL CYCLE

The 03 error code is the drain. Disconnect the drain hoses and check for blockages. If no blockage "time" the drain interval. If it's more than 6 minutes it's the pump. Also make sure you're using the correct type of soap so the ball check valve on the bottom of the outer drum isn't getting fouled with excessive suds. Also disconnect the drain hose from your house plumbing and let it free flow on it's own. This will tell you if the block is in your plumbing, and not in the machine. Assuming that your filter is clean.

How do you remove Pump Cover on Logixx 8 washing machine?

I have a solution. You just keep turning the white knob anticlockwise. Use a pair of pliars to aid the turning keep going clockwise and anticlockwise if it gets stuck. It will rotate. Just opened my one and found a lollipop stick and a collar stiffner. Good Luck.

probably have something blocking the drainage pump.
  • TURN OFF AND REMOVE PLUG
  • Remove the small circular plate on the front of the washer (turn so the little hole is pointing downwards, then give it a good shove)
  • find the black hose and pull the stopper out: drain the washing water.
  • open the big petrol style cap behind the circular hole.
  • pull the cap out (I had to use pliers to unplug)
  • clear the rubbish you find here (careful could be sharp)
  • put it all back together
  • PRESTO

Can't remove the pump cap

problem is probably a bra wire or similiar catching in the body of the filter. you will just have to pull hard - you are unlikely to damage it
