Yes, I had the same problem and it was the invertor board that controls the lamps .I bet ya that's your problem.Hard to locate parts for these lcd's.If you find a supplier please post.Have fun locating parts. It took me 2 weeks to locate one.

Might be the backlight is out, can you see a picture when shining a flashlight on the screen. if yes you have either a bad inverter power supply or bad screen (panel).
both are serious , also could be just a few bad capacitors on the power supply, if you want you can do a visual of the power board caps will appear swollen on top and are easy to solder in cost about $1 each
