Rotating the screen image is a feature of the graphics card and is normally caused by accidentally pressing a combination of keys. To correct it, hold down Ctrl and Alt and press one of the four arrow keys (up, down, left or right) until you have it the correct way up.
As your screen is completely upside down, hold down Ctrl and Alt and press the Up arrow key.
Alternatively, you probably have a Rotation setting in the display properties of the graphics card. You should be able to reach your graphic card settings, but reading and setting them properly may be difficult since everything you see on the screen is upside down until it's fixed.
If all else fails, try restoring the system to an earlier date when the display was right. This will reset the driver to its proper orientation.
turn your monitor upside down on your desk and look near the clock at the bottom in the system tray. you may have a shortcut there to that video setting, hover above the icons next to your clock, hopefully one of them is your video settings and study in there to change the setting back to the way it was. if not then right click the destop, go to properties, then go to settings in your display properties, then click advanced, and right in there should be a setting to flip the screen 180 degrees back to the way it was..
it could be a number of things. One, it could be your graphic card settings, have a look at them. Two, i forgot but therer is a shortcut to maing your screen turn upside down. Have a look at the settings and i hope you find how to fix it. DigicalJAi
Some video adapters have the capability to rotate the picture so it appears sideways or upside down.
Right click on an empty area of the screen, select properties. In Display Properties, select Settings, then Advanced. On the Dell I have, there is an Intel Graphics Tab- select this or a similiar Tab, then the Graphics Properties button, then Display Settings. The Rotation selections are found here.
Then exact sequence and steps may be different for your machine.
There are 4 screws on the back that connect the monitor to the stand. Remove them and turn the monitor right side up and replace the screws tightly. OR you can change your layout in your video card settings.
Turn your computer on.
When the boot screen cahnges to black start pressing F8
You should get a Windows startup screen
If you see the Windows Logo loading page, then hit the reset button and tray again.
On the Windows Start page, select Safe mode.
Press enter twice and Windows will load
Go into display properties (right click on the desktop and you will see it on the menu)
A box will pop up, select the last tab (Display Properties) there will be a slider on the left side. Move it left to around 800x600.
Select apply and then close the window.
Restart Windows normally and it should be fine.
If not, post back and we will try something else.
Hope it helps =)
When your computer first boots is everything up the right way?
If so, errrr you may have to turn your monitor upside down to do this with any ease, but have a look in your video cards control panel. It may have been set to rotate the display by a hotkey accidently.
