Question about Aloha Housewares (93645) Ceiling Fan

1 Answer

Hunter Lodge Fan will not remain on HI... will go down to LOW

Hunter Lodge Fan (9700, Model 23271) will not remain on HI. You must use supplied wireless remote. Just had it installed last evening and worked fine for an hour or so... then throughout the night it would, on its own, go from HI to LOW.

Any ideas?

Have the wiring checked for proper and good connections....other than that, the control module in the fan ( the receiver) is defective.

I have a ceiling fan (Hunter Douglas #9700 60" Grand Lodge that was purchased in Nov 07. Almost immediately, the highest fan speed did not work so we have been using it on the medium speed. It is now...

The noise you hear may be due to a loose screw(s) in one or more of the fan blade irons. The Irons are what holds the wooden blades and connects to the motor housing. It's usually the screws that attach iron to the motor housing, that work their way loose over time.If you have a light kit on the fan, check all the tension screws that hold the glass globes, shades, whatever you have to the light fixture(s).

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hunter 'lodge' ceiling fan w/light: all switches 'on' and light blinks???? what do I do to correct problem?

if problems with the light blinking, remove watt governor inside fan, for lights. and wire the lghts directly. this should fix problem. the watt governor is a small black box to reduce wattage on the lghts. just remove it and wire lights directly. have a good one !!

My Hunter fan will only switch from high to low speed and won't

if the three speed switch is functioning the middle speed winding is bad.  Either replace the fan or hook up a wall speed control and keep the fan on high.

Where does the receiver go in a 23271 hunter fan

The RECEIVER will be located inside the CANOPY, the cover which goes over the electrical wiring in the Hanger Bracket. You can download, for FREE, the USERS MANUAL and/or a PARTS MANUAL at; www.hunterfan.com , in the little search bar in the top right of their home page type in the model # 23271 and click. It will take you to a page that has this model of fan and there you will see the link for downloading as mentioned above. It will have all the instructions needed to deal with RECEIVER/TRANSMITTER issues.
Good luck. :)

Broken pull cord for the 3 speed fan (Hunter kiw profile)

Turn off circuit breaker to fan. Remove bottom cover plate. Remove thumb nut holding switch in place. Examine switch. Places where wires push in should be numbered. Write down number and coresponding wire color. Remove wires from switch. Take switch with you. Walmart carries some switches but if you can't find it there go to a Locke supply store. Know how many speeds the fan iswhen you go looking. Reassamble in reverse order.
