Hi,
i have recently upgraded to Windows vista and tried to install Lexmark z 25 drivers, and it did not work? any solution to this problem. the printer was working well on Windows xp.. and other compatible drivers can be used to install on windows Vista? Please give suggestion

i have a lexmark color jetprinter z25 and i have tryed to find a driver and couldn't it is not compatable with windows vista. I have a compac computer with windows vista and hp.

I have tried to install the lexmark z25-z35 on my new dell laptop with windows vista. Vista picks up the driver but when it says it's complete it still fails to print. I tried to install with the disk as well but that too does not work?

Any advice?

Hi, There do not as yet appear to be any drivers around for Vista for the Z25 but I have made some enquiries and am waiting on answers. Will let you know ASAP when I get a reply.

Hi, I have got a link for you to go to to download the appropriate drivers for use with your printer on Vista operating system.

The 'solution' offered at the above download does not work with VISTA. I haven't been able to find drivers for the Z25 Lexmark and Lexmark tech people say they won't be providing one...the printer was a cheap, cheap printer ($20 at Walmart) so you're gonna have to buy a new printer for your Vista system

Hi,
After installing the driver from the CD, I was only able to print by doing the following change on Control Panel.

1. Lexmark Z25 printer Properties
2. Ports tab
3. Select USB00x instead of LPT1

I found this solution on the mrdriver.com website... and have been able to successfully print on my z25 printer on my new vista computer... The original person asked about the z35, so I'm assuming it works for either...

I hope this helps!

________
1) Go to Control Panel > Printers
2) Right-click your Lexmark printer and go to Properties
3) Go to Advanced tab
4) Notice where it says Driver: and then shows your Lexmark printer. Mine said "Lexmark Z25-Z35". When I click on this drop-down list I had another available driver below it called "Lexmark Z25-Z35 Color Printer".
5) Choose "Lexmark Z25-Z35 Color Printer" if it is available.
6) Click Apply
7) You may have to finish a few more installation steps. I had to, but it only took a minute and I had my printer working!

I followed solution # 2 but my Z25 can only print kind of pale now and very slow if "best" is used. I does not recognize the black cartridge either. Looking for more support and a good working driver.

I just got windows vista. I tried to hook up my Lexmark Z25 printer to it. I don't have the set-up disc anymore either. Windows can't install it. Is there anyway to install the printer?

Exactly the same problem. Tired to download a driver that wat said to be appropriate, did not work. I cannot believe that Lexmark just does not care enough. Admittedly, this is a cheap printer, but the cost of ink cartridges s should give Lexmark enough incentive to keep this going.
