microwave should be in one piece and you just put turntable inside (there is no assembly)

I have a replacement magenetron and diode for a GE Profile undercabinet microwave. Can you share the step by step instructions for replacing it? Model number JVM 3670

Disconnect the power source.
Remove the cabinet to reveal the wiring.
Locate the large transformer. Next to the transformer is the magnetron and diode assembly. MAKE SURE THE CAPACITOR IS DISCHARGED AS LETHAL VOLTAGES ARE HERE!
Disconnect the diode and remember where the connections came from, (a phone camera is useful for this job). Remove the magnetron.
Replace the magnetron and fit the diode pack.
Replace the cabinet and test by placing 1/2 litre of water in the machine, having first measured the temperature of the water.
Microwave for 1 minute.
The water should have increased in temperature by at least 10degrees Celcius. If it has, it is to specification and you have repaired your microwave oven.

The door switch has failed and must be replaced. the switch information is OMRON RE2 1054H5 C-15G-3C25 15A 1/2HP 125 250 VAC 0.1A 125 VDC. Is there a place somewhere that I can order this switch from?...

In Canada B & E industrial electronics (Calgary) carries the switches typically used for microwave doors (~$5). Reliable parts carries the whole assembly of 3 switches and the plastic interlock housing for about $25. Probably worth calling your local industrial electronics supplier. Never purchased online but should be available from any online electronics reseller. Honeywell is another manufacturer (see Microswitches)... HONEYWELL HIGH FORCE PIN PLUNGER 15A Part # V71C17D8
Allied Electronics Online (US) carries the same switch which is interchangable with yours. Honeywell / MicroswitchSwitch, Miniature, Basic, SPDT, PIN PLUNGER Actuator, QUICK CONNECT TERMINATION
(Are you getting all these numbers off the switch itself as the OMRON RE2 sounds a bit like a relay number...?)

I have a nn s950 ba microwave. It has stopped

Just a possible solution. Our microwave suddenly seemed deader than a door nail.
Our microwave was on a rolling cart. Without realizing it we had pushed the cart too close to the wall. The cart had pressed the on the wire connection with the plug and temporarily broken the power connection. As soon as pressure was removed from the connection, the microwave came back to life.

I'm trying to remove a Hotpoint RVM58003. I removed four long bolts from the top but it does not move. Any help on what I need to do to remove it? Dan

The Hotpoint RVM58003 (circa 1984) cannot be lifted off a hanger after the four top screws are removed because it doesn't have a separate pre-installed hanger like newer units do. The rear mounting screw holes are part of the outer frame of the unit, which requires removal of the Microwave sub-assembly of the Hotpoint RVM58003 to expose the outer metal frame and the array of pre-drilled rear mounting holes before the rear mounting screw(s) can be accessed and removed. Based on my recent experience removing a Hotpoint RVM58003 Microwave Hood from 1984 it appears the unit was originally installed this way too. Please note that this is a very involved process. Basic steps are: 1) Unplug AC power to the unit, or turn off the circuit breaker. 2) Remove the top plastic grill over the door and control panel (2 screws). 3) Next to the grill screws remove the larger left/right screws holding the Microwave sub-assembly in. 4) Drop down the hinged light bulb/air filter cover panel (mine had 7 screws). 5) Remove the small metal cover plate on the right under the control panel. This exposes the Microwave sub-assembly electrical connector. 6) Disconnect the Microwave sub- assembly connector. 7) Carefully pull the Microwave sub-assembly out of the frame and set aside. You may need to fish the power cord through the cabinet or unscrew the power cord terminals. NOTE: this is best done with a helper because this sub-assembly is about 25-30 pounds. 8) Once the sub-assembly is out the rear plate is exposed and the rear mounting screws can be removed. I found that the GE/Hotpoint Owner's Manual does not have installation instructions. Neither does the GE web site, they only have the Owner's Manual. For more specific help and instructions I suggest calling The GE Answer Center at 800-626-2000 or hiring a professional installer experienced with this older style Microwave Hood.

Where can I find the 3 1/4" x 10" through the wall ducting? I need to vent this over the range microwave through the wall but can't find the ducting described on page 6 of the installation instructions....

I would suggest a home improvement store such as Builder's Square, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.

Otherwise, maybe local heating and air conditioning companies can point you to a source.
