Tried connecting the GT-T9500 to a Lenovo (2011 Windows 7 laptop). Nothing happens. What needs to be done to transfer files from the phone to laptop. Thank you!

In your android device You should go to "Settings" then "USB computer connection" and here you can choose a mode in what your device is connecting to a PC "Media device/MTP", "Camera/PTP", or only charging mode.

You should switch to MTP mode.

Download photos to pc

If you're photos are saved in your phone's internal memory, transfer them first to the memory card.
To move files from the phone to the card, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, tap Menu.
2. Tap My Files.
3. Tap Phone at the top of the screen.
4. Tap the desired folder.
5. Tap the desired file.
6. Tap Options.
7. Tap Move to.
8. Tap Memory card.
9. Tap the desired folder.
10. Tap Open.
11. Tap Move to.
Once you have transferred your photos to the card, the next step would be transferring those photos from the card to your computer.
To move files from the card to the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the top of your phone.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on your computer.
3. Click File Transfer on the phone.
4. If required, tap OK on the phone to exit to the main screen.
5. On the computer, in the Removable Disk dialog box, click to select Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer, and click OK.
6. Navigate to the file on your memory card that you wish to copy.
7. Right-click the file and click Copy.
8. Navigate to the desired folder on your computer.
9. Right-click and click Paste.
10. When you are finished transferring files, tap Back on the phone.

How to flash a phone to cricket

1 Download on your computer a reliable flash software which can be found online for free or for a fee. It should be compatible with your Windows version. This software will contain PRL files to overwrite a cell phone's data, PST tools to reprogram the phone, and Monster files to flash a phone. It will also contain specific six-digit codes for accessing the programming features on your cell phone which were set by your service provider. Go to the site under references for the software

Double-click and unzip the downloaded flash software.
3 Connect your Cricket cell phone through a USB cable to a USB port in your personal computer or laptop in preparation for transferring the new files.
4 Follow the step-by-step instructions which are easy to follow but vary per source. Instructions usually come as a Read Me document. The entire process would disable your Cricket settings and reprogram it into your new carrier's network or vice-versa.
5 Double-check by clicking the button "Start" and going to "My Computer." Under the window "Systems Task" on the left, click on "View Systems Information."

6 Click the tab "Hardware" and then click on the button "Device Manager."

7 Select USB controllers and ports to check for your newly-installed carrier which has already been flashed to your cell phone.

Sony ericsson w350 cell phone

You don't need the software to transfer music. I have the software but don't bother using it as it takes much longer to transfer files this way.

Just connect my your 350i to your computer using the USB cable. On your phone select "file transfer". Now, go to "My computer" and after 30 seconds your phone should appear as a removable drive, and you can drag & drop (or copy and paste files) into the music folder therein.

While in "file transfer" mode you cannot make or receive calls or texts, so be sure to disconnect as soon as your file transfer is complete. To do so, in my computer, right click the icon for your phone and select "eject".

There is a program called BIT PIM it may help. It's free. It isn't the easiest program in the world to use, but it is the only one I've ever used with any success for this application.
