Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

Erased firmwre I mistakenly erased the firmwre from my ZenV Plus. I don't know what firmwre is to start with nor do I know how to replace it. Thanks for any help.

I cant charge my zenv mp3 so i need someone to help!!!!!!!


Hello there,

Apparently your battery is dead.. Just install a replacement battery and it will be alright. If I am not wrong this player uses 3V, 1200mAH battery. Please verify before buying the replacement. It should cost you around 15-20$

Usb wont recognize


There are several diffrent reasons this could be:
  1. USB cabel has a short
  2. USB jack on computer\ZenV might be damaged
  3. You may need to reinstall ZenV softwear

Zen V will not turn off


I've hade this same problem and it can be fixed simply.

There is a reset button on the side of the ZenV. Get a small point like a pen or pencil and hold down the button for 3 - 5sec. It should restart and say its reconstructing media library (or something along that sort)

ZENV has firmware problem



try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?

I hope it won't keep freezing on you after the update.

ZenV Freezes
Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.

Before returning the player, try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

The user manual for this phone ( available at http://www.htc.com/support/support_htcs620.htm ) says this: To change regional settings 1. On the Home screen, click Start > Settings > Regional Settings. 2. In Language, select your preferred language. Hope this helps!
