Question about Audio Players & Recorders

2 Answers

We have the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Multimedia Speaker System, which we love. last week we had 2 power outages, and now our speakers have no power. All our equipment is on surge suppressors, and the speakers were the only things that blew. Can this be fixed economically??

Have you checked the obvious (fuses in the Plug, power to the socket)?

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Lost sound in left channel?

I presume you are playing a stereo cd. Plug some other device, like headphones in to see if the computer is putting out stereo. Use the same plug as the speaker system is plugged into.
I presume you have swapped the speakers to test them.
If the speakers work, and the headphones work, it's the amp.

Klipsch Synergy Sub12 Subwoofer Speaker

If it's a new model you should send it back.
If it's not then it sounds like the thing that does all the work has gone. It will be found on a heat sink. Try replacing that.

I have a Klipsch Sub-10 It is NOT working. I am not sure what happened. It was just fine last week. It's powered up and everthing but not throwing any bass. It was also detected during the auto setup.

If you're saying the auto setup produced sound then the sub and its amp are fine.

So we need to examine the source electronics for actual playback settings. Give a hint of what that might be.

control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager, sound, right click select properties to either troubleshoot, uninstall, rollback driver or select system devices from the device manager scroll to speaker right click to update driver, disable, scan for hardware changes or select properties to troubleshoot, then select driver to uninstall, rollback, uninstall then reinstall

My amp overheated on a Klipsch promedia 2.1

Sounds like your speakers had too many watts sucking from an amp that couldn't produce the power to feed them.
What is the max watt power output rating for your amp?
Compare the amperage of all the speakers combined and make sure they are 15% lower that the rating on your amp. Be sure to include the sub in your totals.
Chances are you've blown the power supply on your amp.
Have you tried any of these checks yet?

How to hook up speakers to emachine t3638? i have the klipsch 5.1 set

The EMachines T3638 comes with High Definition Audio support and you should be able to connect a 6 speaker system (1 subwoofer and 5 speakers).

I believe they are color coded as well. I believe the speaker set you are referring to is the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1. Is that correct?

Below is the a link to the connection instruction manual. It is a pdf document that you can print out. The instructions for installing the Speaker set is on pages 3 & 4 under Signal Connection and Speak Connection.

http://www.klipsch.com/media/products/owners-manuals/ULTRA51MANUAL_ENGLISH.pdf

It should be pretty straight forward, but send me a note if you have any questions about the process.

Klipsch Speakers 4.1 died suddenly

Humm. Plug some earphones or another set of speakers into the computer and see if you get sound. That will at least point you in the right direction. And not to insult your intelligence but make sure the speakers are plugged into the green port.
