My Ice maker on frigidaire gallery series fridge not working but puts out water I don't know what's going on with it

Check the water filter, replace as needed. Remove ice bin, empty it and let it thaw out. Put it back in place and check for ice the next morning.

Timer ice maker kenmore side

If the timer piece you are referring to is behind the square white cover, and it's moving slightly back and forth, you should visually check the ice making area it's self to see if the ejector fingers are jammed with ice, or against the ice stripper. Ice Maker jams can be caused by reduced water pressure to the unit mainly from the water filter, your water filter in the toe kick should be replaced at an interval of 6 months to a year, regardless of filter status light. When water pressure is low, not enough water fills the unit and the undersized cubes can become lodged or stuck in the ice maker while being ejected, equally so if there is an over fill situation caused by other failures the ice maker can't eject at all. No ice in ice maker, no water in door.

check back to source for crimped or blocked pipes. If you can not see anything try removing the pipe and pass air through it, if you find resistance (when valves are open) you may have a frozen/crimped pipe.

The ice maker stopped workingand the fillter has water in it

bobdmartin

The melt arm must be down to make ice and the freezer must be at least 10 degrees to make ice, as for the water in your filter that happens if the filter is not placed in there right and you might need a new filter in which will make ice, first check the water pressure, how to do that is draw water from the front of your refrigerator if it is bearly flowing the filter has a lot to do with that so go get yourself a new filter at your local hardware store. And see what happens next.

Ice maker won't make ice after replacing water filter -plugged

I've had the discolored water before when replacing the filter. It normally means that there was gunk in the water line.

Do you still hear the ice maker trying to draw water in?
If not, the water pump might be burnt out.

If so, see below.

The water lines that feed the dispencer and the ice maker split after a certain point.

It's possible that the line that feeds the ice maker might be clogged. You should be able to get to it by removing a few screws and pulling off the back panel of the fridge. Then you can check them out and remove the clog.

NOT ENOUGH WATER.

Check to see if the water line is kinked or if the valve is partly closed.next check to see if you have some blockage in the line. Shut the water off, remove the filter element,if you hace one and blow air in the water dispenser. If that doesn't do it, remove the line after the shut off, and blow air in before the filter. if all is good you may have to replace the water valve solenoid. Is your ice maker making ice ? if not it is not getting water either. let me know if this helps..
