Sorry, Chuck, this is nothing to do with the film or TV show you are watching - it indicates a major problem with your own eyesight (known as 'tunnel vision') and you need to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
It is not advisable to drive until the problem is sorted. BTW, how are Lucy and Linus ?

When i look through, the target is above center. how do i get it to focus on the center of the image I'm trying to shoot? also, with having used it only about 5 times in 2 years, becasue of that

First, make sure the lock lever around the cursor pad is in the unlocked position (make sure the "L" is covered up). Then you can use the cursor buttons to move the focus area, or press the center of the cursor pad to center the focus area.

As for the battery issue, have you tried a fresh set of batteries? Does the LCD panel on the top light up with new batteries?

I bought a Canon XSI for christmas. I owned a Rebel and have a 70-300mm IS USM lens which has been working ok. On the XSI all photos are blurry. My 28-135 lens works ok on the XSI.What could cause this...

Good Afternoon,
if I'm to understand your problem when you transferred the 28 to 135 lands from your rebel to your new XSI you began getting out of focus pictures.First make sure that your diopter is set properly on the camera to do this remove the lens turn the camera meter on and adjust your rear diopter control so that all the numbers in the finder are sharp to you then replace the lens. Next I would test the quality of the autofocus system. To do this place a magazine page with large bold lettering flat against the wall. Then aim the camera at this page at a 45° angle using just the center focus point.select a word on that page. Make sure your camera is in the AV mode with no flash and set your f-stop to 4.5. When you take this image you're going to look at it on the computer what you should see is the focus point that you used should be very sharp everything trailing off the backside of that focus point should be fuzzy and everything to the front side of that focus point should be fuzzy. If you find the image is sharper to the front side of your focus point you're getting what they call front focusing. If your image is sharper to the backside of your focus point you're getting what they call rear focusing. These issues can be addressed usually in the software set up on the camera. Again to recap you'll need a flat piece of artwork that you can put on the wall you need to position your camera 45° from that artwork set your f-stop to wide-open centerpoint focus only. How to get manual focus on Olympus Camedia C-750 ultra zoom digital camera

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTITf correct focus cannot be obtained
When the subject to be focused is not on the AF target mark (not positioned
in the center of the composition), you can use the following steps to obtain the
correct focus on the subject. This operation is referred to as "focus lock".
Determine the position of the subject after focusing (Focus Lock)
1 Press the power switch.
• The camera turns on in the shooting
mode.
• The lens extends and the monitor turns
on.
• The orange lamp lights.
2 Turn the mode dial and select a
shooting mode.
"Shooting mode" (P.36)
3 Position the AF target mark on
the subject you want to focus on.
• When shooting a hard-to-focus
subject, point the camera at an object
about the same distance away as the
subject.
Press the shutter button halfway
until the green lamp lights.
• When the green lamp lights steadily,
the focus and the exposure are locked.
• When the green lamp blinks, the focus
and exposure are not locked. Release
your finger from the shutter button, reposition
your subject and press the
shutter button halfway again.
5 Keeping the shutter button
pressed halfway, recompose
your shot.
6 Press the shutter button fully.
Try the above, info from D-535, C-370 and X-450.
I can email you the complete manual if this works.

Phillip

If it doesn't work, pull out crown to the second click and do as described above.

Apitek 1.3 Images are blur at faces

Sounds like an autofocus issue. Either the camera is malfunctioning, or it just may be seeing something else it thinks it should be focusing on. Pictures thru glass often focus on the glass even tho we look thru it, watch for reflecions. Anything between you and the person may throw the focus off, like taking a picture of someone thruogh a doorway. If the face is off to the side the camera may be focusing on the center. If your camera has a two-click snap button, try holding only the first click and see what it focuses on.

Focus

The camera uses a precise auto focus mechanism, but under the conditions and with the subjects described below the auto focus function may not work well. Subjects moving at high speed Very shiny subjects such as a mirror or car body Extremely low contrast subjects (such as subjects dressed in the same color as the background, etc.) When there are objects in front of or behind the subject (such as an animal in a cage or a person in front of a tree) Subjects with little reflection, such as hair or fur Subjects with no solidity, such as smoke or flames Subjects viewed through glass In addition, the focus is set on the center of the frame, so if the subject is not at the center (when shooting two people standing side by side, for example), the focus is adjusted on the background and the desired subject (the two people) may be out of focus. In such cases, do the following: Point the camera so that one of the persons is at the center of the viewfinder. Half-press the shutter button. (The focus is locked on the person.) Holding the shutter button in the half-pressed position, reposition the camera to achieve the desired composition. Take the photo. If the focus cannot be adjusted, it is locked to infinity (1.5 meters when using the flash).
