LOSS OF POWER TO UNIT, NO DISPLAY. FUSE IS OK & HAVE POWER TO ONE SIDE OF THE FUSE HOLDER PARTS. ANY SUGGESTIONS. OPENED UP, NOTHING BLOWN OR DRY JOINTS ETC, NOTHING SEEMS AMISS.
Same problem. Yet unit draws 0.3 amp current when 12 volt is supplied - but display remains blank. After a short while unit turns itself of (draws no power anymore). Pressing the on button does something, as again current is drawn for a short while, yet display remains blank.
i too have the same problem....started playing up for a few weeks and suddemly just lost all power. Opened it up too and there was no problem either. only reason why im not getting a new one cos it looks too good compare to the ones these days (imo). anyone out there have any solutions?

Logic dictates that if power exists at one end of a fuse holder, and the fuse is OK then the other end of the fuse holder is open circuit to the panel or along the printed circuit?
Fuses have also been known not to pass the rated current - does the fuse wire bend or even glow on switching on?
Try an point .5 amp increase in fuse capacity?
Sage.
