Check the pins in the cable and make sure the cable is securely connected. If one pin gets bent, you can get odd colors. Might even try a new VGA cable.

My westinghouse LCD LCM22w3 is not turning on. The switch light will turn on for a few seconds but then turns off. I have no imput signal

Helo,

This is a very common problem with the LCM-22W3 monitors. The problem is caused by a failure of the filter capacitors in the power supply board. Here is a link to a repair guide that shows how to open the unit and what to look for and replace to repair the monitor. This is a very easy repair.

My monitor Westinghouse Mod# LCM-19v5

Hello,

The most common thing that causes no power or a blinking power light and no picture is a failure of the power supply board. The board can be repaired and the monitor will be as good as new. To repair the board you just need to replace a few parts called capacitors. Here is a link to repair information on the Westinghouse LCM-19V5

Westinghouse model LCM 17V2SL what type of wire is needed to get speakers to work?

You need stereo mini phone plug male-to-male, one end goes into audio line out (green) on the PC sound card, the other end goes into audio line in on the monitor jack (green). then you need to set the volume control PC and at the monitor. You can get the cable from Radio Shack.

Can't find correct setting for westinghouse lcm22w2 monitor

I don't know if this actually will fix your problem, but all LCM 22w2's are plagued with the 'white screen of death' and eventual power shutoff, including garbage characters and faulty menu, video output, etc. Here's how I fixed it.

The Westinghouse LCM 22w2 has bad capacitors on the yellow power supplyboard. This is a common problem plaguing motherboards and LCDflatpanels that use capacitors from Taiwan. If you know how to solder,or know somebody that can, it's actually a pretty easy fix. Take outthe yellow circuit board on the inside, write down the specificationsfor each of the capacitors (the cylindrical things) go to theelectronics supply store and get the replacement capacitors. You can goover the voltage specification (not under), but keep the capacitancevalue matching. Replace one at a time. Go to www.badcaps.net foradvice, tutorials and training on doing this. *You really shouldreplace all the capacitors*, but the very large one next to the powerplug I did leave on the board because I couldn't find a match. To mydelight, the white screen of death went away and it was working as new!

I saved a ton of money fixing this, it's definitely worth learning how to solder to do this.

I fixed it! It's the power supply board. The bad news is you need to solder.
