SOURCE: Wiring Problems

You didn't cut the plastic connectors off the factory wiring, did you? One is gray and one black.... if not, just get to a stereo shop and buy a wiring kit for your car and all colors will match. They're about $10. If you DID..... well..... we have a LOT of work to do....

SOURCE: I am installing a Mars

Hello, Typically your common wire will be white, high speed- black, medium speed- yellow, medium low-blue, red- low. The motor could still run for a short time if it was wired wrong but will either trip a breaker or go off on it;s overload when it's gets hot.

Mars blower motor diagram?4 wires

Gentlemen,
I have a GE P547BS fan motor. I find replace it with a Mars 10584 fan motor. GE has five wires, BRN, YEL,PUR,BLK,RED. Goes through the capacitor with the yellow going on to 200 V the purple and black go to 220 V. Mars motor as a six wire connection two Brown's go to the capacitor. yellow I'm assuming goes to the hot/neutral and a black I would say would be high-speed blue is medium and red is low. Now when I connect with this way it blows the fuse. Anybody run into this problem before? Any help? By the way, it's a 240 V single phase system.

I am looking for a way to test my GE Arctica Refrigerator Fan Motor & if need be my Electronic Board that sends power to this fan, how do I find a Wiring Drawing that say's what these 4 wires -...

The Red wire is positive around 13.5 VDC
The White wire is the negative
The yellow should also be Positive around 13.5 VDC
The blue wire should also be around 13.5 VDC

Check Connector #2 on the main board for voltage.
on all those connectors. ignore the blue/blk.
To get the fan working the red and white MUST be connected and have voltage., if the yellow does not have 13.5 dc the fan will not work. the fan will work even if it's not connected.
So, The RED and WHITE wires always have voltage. jump the yellow to red and the fan WILL work. either inside the fridge or on the board. if you jump it, remember to disconnect the yellow from the board.
You can also check the fan with external voltage outside of the fridge with a small 12vdc transformer. RED and Yellow to Positive. White to negative.
The fan rarely goes bad. It usually starts humming before it goes bad(for weeks). U might change the fan, the board and not fix it. There might be a simple short from the board to the fridge connector.

Replaced fan motor for outdoor ac unit old fan has blue, black, red, and green wires new fan has brown,black,yellow,brown/white and green what goes where

Hi, the 2 - brown wires are for there own run capacitor they should have sold you. One of the browns will have a white stripe. The new cap has only 2- terminals and you put a brown on each side. The black and yellow wires are both hot which 1- will go to 120 volts on the load or out side of the contactor, and the same with yellow, 120 volts. This gives you 220 volts to run the motor. Look on the new motor and you will have a diagram or on a paper that comes in the box. The old motor used the dual cap to run the compressor to. The green is just a ground wire. Screw it to any metal part or screw. You should be able to put the black and yellow hot wires where the old black, red, or blue were as long as they are 120 volts which I am sure they are. Get a cheap tester when you go get the cap for the new motor, and check the old blk, red, and blue terminals to ground and you should have 120 volts on at least 2 of them. Put the new yellow to 1 and black to another, browns to the new cap and your off and running. Keep me posted. I do this everyday. Please be kind when rating me, thank you.

Wires

2 brown wires go to a split capacitor if you have a dual cap which has three terminals marked comp fan com if u have this type of capacitor then the brown wire goes to fan and the brown and white gets capped with a wire nut. whenever replacing a fan motor you should also replace the cap or at least check the capacitance to see if it is still good. you have to check it with a meter that test microfarad.you can get a permanent split capacitor and mount it in there then u use the brown on one side and the brown and white on the other side it only has 2 terminals.
