Question about Garmin StreetPilot C330 GPS Receiver
Your 'custom' lithium battery died. You can try getting a replacement from the internet, but be aware that the battery is not a simple 'plug-n-play'. There are leads that need to be soldered. Then there's the matter of re-initializing the unit. It may or may not work when you do a system reset.
Your best bet is to 'bite-the-bullet' and contact Garmin tech support for an RMA. They'll charge $79 to repair/replace this model.
This situation is common among GPS manufacturers on lower-end units. Best Buy showed me that there are some new units out there (over $500 ) that do have disposable batteries where its easy to change.

I left my Garmin street Pilot 550 on charge in my car overnight and when I went to unplug it, the screen was a dark blue and the sytem was very hot to the touch. After I removed the charger from the system it never tured back on, to blue screen, just dead. Can someone tell me what could be wrong?
