Temp control knob loose on old Frigidaire oven

my best guess its A Frigidaire wall oven, circa 1966-1970,

unsafe to use at any time if the temp controller trips the circuit breaker

could be the oven thermostat causing the trip as well

if Frigidaire are still in business

You will need to ask an electrician to fit a /tested used controller or new superseded part temp controller and knob

Cant find temperature control knob

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are looking for the temperature control knob on your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU2064DW. The temperature control is located inside your freezer on upright models, and on the left outside wall on chest models. The temperature is factory preset to provide satisfactory food storage temperatures. However, the temperature control is adjustable to provide a range of temperatures for your personal satisfaction. I have a Simpson electric oven with stove top elements, and one of the burners will only cook at the highest level, I cant figure out how to change it, any suggestions?

You need to change the "Simmerstat", take the model number to your local electrical parts supplier/parts counter at your local stove retail shop that sells Simpson stoves and ask for one for that model, make sure you get the right one for the position as some control a single element and some control dual elements.

*** TURN OFF THE WALL SWITCH AND ENSURE NO POWER IS APPLIED TO THE STOVE BEFORE PROCEEDING ****
Remove the upper back panel of the stove. Swap wire for wire of the old simmerstat to the new one, remove the knob from the old Simmerstat, undo the nut securing the simmerstat in the oven control panel and discard, fit new one, secure, fit knob, fit back panel, turn on wall switch and test.

Some countrys/states require registered electricians perform this task on electrical appliances so you must ensure you can do this legally before you start and take the relevant safety precautions and don't electrocute yourself.

Model # LSR5132PQ The front part (white and gray) portion of the Cycle Control Knob falls off.

There are four different styles on this machine LSR5132PQ 1-4. I would recommend looking at the parts diagram and purchase the switch behind the panel and the knob.
That will fix it.

I have 2 Hunter ceiling fans and the wall switch has 2 knobs which you push to click on or off.......after you click on...you can turn the knob and increase or decrease the fan speed. You can click on both...

Hello .. you should be able to find a replacement for your fan control at any building supply store, a home depot type store. Look or ask for a variable speed fan control. This is slightly different from a normal liight dimmer . You might also look for a replacement knob before replacing the whole switch, or matbe getting a replacement just to replace the knob ..

Part numbers

I need a new knob for my carrier through the wall air conditioner. I looked into the back of the broken knob and found part number.
0350
1029
stamped inside. I googled it and found the correct knob (saw the picture) at http://bestbuyheatingandairconditioning.com part number KNB3501029.

Not cheap but I found them.

Hope it helps :)
