ITS A POSSIBILITY AND YOU BETTER HOPE ITS NOT SPINNING BECAUSE THE SCREW COMPRESSOR IS LOCKED UP. CHECK THE OIL LEVEL IN THE SUMP AND SEE IF THE ROTOR WILL TURN WHEN NOT RUNNING. TYPICALLY THE DIESEL ENGINE WILL TURN HIGHER RPMS WHEN IT HAS NO DRAG ( NO COMPRESSOR HOOKED UP ). YOU CAN GET THE PARTS FROM INGERSOL RAND OR ANY RENTAL YARD - UNITED, PENSKE, SUNBELT, ETC. THEIR MECHANIC SHOPS ARE USUALLY FOR HIRE AND CAN EVEN INSTALL IT FOR A CHARGE. ALSO MAKE SURE NOTHING BUILT A NEST IN THERE. IF YOU REMOVE THE SCREW, MAKE SURE AND WATCH FOR SHIMS. THOSE SHAFTS NEED TO LINED UP PERFECT TO REDUCE VIBRATION. GOOD LUCK

It hooks onto the fork.
NOTE: Remove the plunger from the solenoid.
Move the gear to position the fork as close to the solenoid plunger as possible.
Hook over the fork,
Re-insert plunger into solenoid
'a light film of grease could be applied to the plunger, but not TOO much'

You can be very safe by using a diode capable of say 600 volts. You can probably take it to Radi Shack and get one of about the same physical size and be safe. The epoxy diodes typically come at 1 amp size about 1/8 inch diameter, the 3 amp at about 1/4 inch diameter and the 6 amp pnes are about 3/8 inch diameter.
You can also procure these fromDigikey.com and Mouser.com
The diode MAY be transient protection for a fuel shutoff solenoid.
DIODES ARE POLARITY critical so make sure you have it wired correctely.

Testimonial: "thank you i have asked everyone this should do it "
did you drain the gas before putting it away last season? If not, I would drain all of the gas and put in fresh gas, also replace any in line gas filters
