How do i turn off talkback mode and reboot the phone to factory settings

You can try the below if you are having Samsung Galaxy phone.
  1. Double-tap on the Settings icon to get to Settings.
  2. Scroll down to "Accessibility" using your two fingers.
  3. Double tap on the switch to turn it off. Talkback is now disabled on your Samsung Galaxy Core
And to reset to factory setting, follow the below steps.

To do a factory data reset, follow these steps:
  1. If your phone is on, turn it off.
  2. Press and hold the Volume up button and the Power button at the same time until the device turns on.
  3. Press the Volume down button to select "Recovery mode." If you need to navigate to the "Recovery mode" option, use the Volume up button to move the arrow and the Volume down button to select it.
  4. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark and the words "No command."
  5. While holding down the Power button, press the Volume up button and release it.
  6. Use the volume buttons to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press the Power button to select it.
  7. Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data" and press the Power button to select it.
Your Android One device will erase all of your data and restart with its factory settings. You'll see the Welcome screen just as you did when you turned the device on for the first time.

Hey Misty,

On some devices you have to double tap the icon or name you wish to enter.

On other devices, you have to double tap the home screen for a pop up window to show you a Disable TalkBack option, which will allow you to go into your settings.

HOPE THIS HELPS MISTY. :-)

turn the talkback knob to the right and push it in to engage talkback.when you get the volume you want leave it alone .Now key the mic.You will probably hear a squeal coming from the speaker. Now turn the volume down on the talkback knob until the squeal goes away.If you run your RF gain wide open it may squeal also.

I have a Connex 4600 Turbo mounted in the headliner of a W900L Kenworth using Wilson 2000 twin antennas and a RK56 mic. When trying to use the "talk-back" feature all I hear is constant...

Strange. You shouldn't have a squealing problem with an RK56 noise canceling mic.

Unfortunately there is no way to change the volume of the talkback. Its too loud. The only solution is to turn the mic gain down.

The only reason you need to have talkback on is to check your audio. Make sure the echo is good and what not. After that you really don't need it on. So turn down the mic gain, then check the echo, then turn off the Talkback and turn the gain back up.

The squeal is feedback from the talkback being to loud and being heard by the mic. So the only way to solve it is to lower the volume of the talkback, (Which is not possible in this radio) lowering the mic gain(which lowers your audio level) or turning it off.

I have a dx98vhp and it sqeels* when i key up when the talkback is on. I've tried adjusting the power and i can't figure it out. Thanks

the talkback is too loud. there is no way to adjust the talkback volume on this radio. Talkback is really just so you can check how your audio sounds and your echo. Once it set, there is really no need to have it on.

Turning down the gain on your mic will stop the squeal.

the squeal is cause by feed back from audio from the talk back being heard from the mic.

Galaxy dx-66 squeals on talkback

timspur, hi. First off, using the talkback with a tuned Galaxy will give you problems, so you need to use a good noise cancelling mic like a RK 56, or Astatic 636. If your running an amp, that will only amplify the problem. Here is a mod if your comfortable working on your radio, to tone down the TB volume.
******
Talkback can become distorted if these radios have been "peaked," and there is no cure because the talkback just amplifies what goes to the RF section. Try adding a 470k ohm resistor from junction of C155/R207 to the junction of C187/R235 on the solder side of the board. This will also give you clean talkback on SSB and FM. Try different values of resistance to get the amount of volume you want. The less the resistance the louder the talkback will be.**
Hope this was what your looking for,, I know for a fact that the Astatic mics do help tone it down.
Let us know,,, Mechanic
