SOURCE: my kenmore gas dryer model 110.7281201 turns but

unplug the dryer and change out the gas coils, two black coils on valve, coils will work for a while then shut down, when you change them make sure the metal spacer isn't inside the bad coil when you remove it,only the coil with 3 prongs has this, you'll should see it on the post when you remove coil, put the coils on the same way you take them off.vac out the dryer also, lint buildup will also make the dryer take a long time to dry, check outside and make sure the air is blowing open the flapper,if not blow out the vent line with a leaf blower if it's a long run, hope this helps

Started smoking, but good water pressure

This certainly is a fault in the electric motor. Try the machine without load. That is...remove gun completely.
If smoke still appears....windings in electrical motor are damaged.
Myself I prefer to change motor than to rewind. More than that...safety is my policy. If in doubt and you see it is going to get expensive, consider a new machine. If possible the same model if you agree. In this way you can turn to your old machine for certain spares.
Thanks,
Fulltech.

When i turn on the ps3 the main light turns green, yellow then red again

My friend had this problem and fixed it by taking the console apart, removing the motherboard and heating it up, presumably to let any dry joints re-solder. He actually had a friend do it by putting it in an oven but this melted a component which had to be replaced, so I would recommend using a heat gun or alternative if possible.

The same fault has occured on my brothers PS3 and since I have a heat-gun and soldering irons at work, I'm going to have a go at fixing it myself and shall report back when I've attempted it.

What a fantastic peice of machinery, eh?

Hi my xbox360 wont turn on i tried to fix the e74 error when i turn it on to overheat it just shut down please help asap.

Josh_Wilson5

In regards to the E74 error unlike the normal RROD the E74 error normally means that the GPU is already damaged. So with the systems that are brought to me with this issue I usually recommend the customer send the system in if it is covered under the 3 year warranty because if the GPU is damaged then it can not be fixed with the DIY kits. I myself have only had one system that had the E74 error not come back after running a fix on it. So at this point you may need to replace the motherboard.

Note there is some walk throughs on the Internet where people have used heat guns to reflow the soder on the RROD fixes. I have not tried these my self as I do not have a heat gun to test with. You may try them but if the GPU is endeed damaged then this will not work.

Hope this helps

My heat element works but not the fan, tested the motor and its fine so it must be the elctronics. The element will burn out if that fan wont work, how can i bypass the electronics or what component may be...

i have fixed one like this and in my case it turned out to be the shaft from the motor to the fan was broken , so i just reglued the fan back onto the shaft with a really good heat resistant glue and it works fine .

Nothing happens when you load paper to staple. It is a swingline electric stapler model 270

assuming it is plugged into a good power source and turned on (no offense intended, just getting the obvious out of the way - and I've fallen victim to the obvious myself before), look inside where you put the paper - is there a trigger mechanism? Most electric staplers have them (the paper hits the trigger and the stapler fires), and some allow you to set the sensitivity of the trigger. If yours allows you to adjust the sensitivity, try adjusting it. If it's not adjustable, the trigger probably needs to be replaced (under heavy use, they may need to be replaced every year or so).
