Aspire z3-105 ...three beeps then three more but computer still will not start....removed the two 4gb cards, cleaned and replaced still no start. Help....

Remove the CPU and CMOS battery from their sockets and press the power button of the chasis without connecting the power cable for 1.5minutes. After that place the CPU back into its socket and connect the power cable then power on the PC, it should power on and boot. After powering on Setup the BIOS settings and shutdown the computer and place the CMOS battery then you will be good to go.

E5-515 upgrade to faster cpu

Review laptop specs from Aspire website. May require new motherboard. Costly upgrade! CPU may not be plug in style, most Aspire CPUs are soldered in.

Hi there,
Lots of local places can provide a decent price and even install this for you, however based on the model number provided I was able to find this:
http://www.laptopcpufan.net/acer-aspire-5741g-series-laptop-cpu-fan-lf.html
As well as http://www.pchub.com
Good luck!

Green loght blinks and no boot on acer aspire 7520

Likely the Nvidia chipset has a solder problem - it's the chip that is under the heat sink on the same heat pipe as the CPU. Two ways to fix it - reflow the solder with a hot air tool (if you have one and/or have the skills) or replace the mainboard.

Packard Bell Imedia 2326 will not start, I've removed side panel and when I press start button the fans spin briefly then stop and start again (in an endless loop until I remove the power). Nothing at all...

Make sure your fans are not clogged with dirt and spins freely.
Clean it or replace it if necessary.

You can also try reseating the CPU in its socket.

Unlock the CPU and heatsink from the motherboard and lift them gently out together.
Then just replace them back into the same place and relock the holding clip back into place.

Good luck and please comment back and RATE if this was helpful.

How do you replace the DC jack on an ACER Aspire 1800. Is there soldering involved?

Yes there is. You would need to de-solder the old one and re-solder a new one in its place. This is done on the motherboard of the laptop, so be aware that if anything goes wrong, you may kill the laptop.

Please take a moment to rate my solution.
Thanks.
Simon.

CPU change

You might be able to get a faster Celeron to fit that socket however you have to make sure the heat sink will work and that it will not overheat the unit.

You might get away with 2 ghz but anything bigger than that might cause a problem.

Upgrade

to upgrade your going to have to take the laptop apart and remove the heatsink on top of the cpu, then disconnect the cpu, and then install another cpu in place of it, apply therman greeze and put the cpu heatsink back on. and reassemble your laptop.
