Make sure that the wireless button is not turned off. If there is a physical button, then you may want to push it into the opposite direction in order to get it working correctly. The other option is to click the "search the web and windwos" area of your task bar. Type in "wireless" then there should be an option that says " turn wireless device off" or "turn wireless device on". In your case, you will click the option that says "turn wireless device on". This should resolve your issue of not being able to switch between wired and wireless.

Why wireless won't work on at&t wireless 7550

Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on your computer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
The default login = admin
The default PW = password You can now change the default admin password and configure the wireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

How do I turn my router into a wifi client?

most routers can\'t do wireless uplink and I find wireless uplink to, frankly, be poor anyway. you always here about "a copy of a copy not being as sharp as the original." (multiplicity) well its true with wireless as well.

you can however hardline that second router and have both routers broadcast the same network so that its like having one big network that is always fast all the way through.

(if you can find an acceptable way to run that wire)

here is what I did:

1)connect to your main router and check your IP ( or something probably)

2)turn off your wireless and hardwire to your second router

3)set up the second router with the same SSID and password as the main router (important that its exactly the same)

3)on the main page where it shows your routers IP (the one you probably used to login to the router) change it to an unused IP that is easy to remember. (My main router is, my second is and my third is

***when you save changes the page won\'t reload because you need to reconnect to the new IP you just made***

4)now turn off the DHCP and save settings

OK... now its a wireless access point waiting to be attached to a router.

5)plug the internet wire into 1,2,3 or 4 but never plug anything into the uplink or internet port on the second router, that port is now unused.

You now have a network with two broadcast points that don\'t have any diminished speed or packet loss associated with wireless uplink.

I have wireless Internet! I have a laptop, I tried to connect to it~ It will connect to the router, but won't connect to the Internet! Help!

How many wired and wireless computers do you have ion the network.
Do you have any wired computer ?
Connect your laptop to the router with the Ethernet cable and try to access Internet. See if the wired connection is working or not.
If the wired connection is working then I think you will need to check the wireless settings of the router and the laptop.

Pull your display off wall and see if your unit has batteries. If you have a blue wire or, a wire connected to the "B" terminal in your thermostat(the part connected to wall, this should produce the power to show display. If you do not have a blue wire, it is dependant on the batteries for display. Change out batteries and see what happens. Obviously with no display, your system won't work. If this doesn't solve your problem, replace the thermostat.
