Usually there is a sensor right before the paper enters the fuser. If the paper sensor is bad the machine will stop feeding and output the error paper jam. This is probably the cuase if the paper stops in the same position all the time.

I had the same problem with 2 of the 2070N printers. Solution was that the paper tray was setting to tight against the paper pushing it tight up to the front of the tray. Back the rear support up so there is maybe 1/16 inch clearance between the paper and the end of the tray. No more feed problems.

Meaning of LED Indication
Front cover is open:
Close the front cover of the printer.
Back cover is open:
Close the back cover of the printer.
Paper jam:
Clear the paper jam. To see paper jams and how to clear them, click here. If the printer does not start printing, press the Go button.
No paper fed manual feed slot:
Put the paper back in the manual feed slot.
Memory full:
The printer memory is full and the printer cannot print full pages of a document.
Print overrun:
A print overrun occurred and the printer cannot print full pages of a document.
Clean drum unit:
The corona wire needs to be cleaned.
