Time delay relay?

it does have time delay but only for loss of power or if someone plays with thermostat making it go off and on. some time delays have a dial to change length of delay. it would be placed in 24 volt circuit to make or break circuit to contactor.

No voltage to gas valve

Check for voltage to transformer, should be 110 volts between black and white wire. Check for 24 volts out of transformer.

The G terminal on the thermostat most go to the G terminal on the control board, so the green wire that is attached to the G terminal on the subbase of the thermostat must go to the G terminal on the intergrated control board on the furnace. I will post a pic of how the wiring goesrobhvac47_8.jpg

I have a T3BA-036KA the outside unit will not

You need 24 volts going to the coil of the contactor. If you do not have 24 volts, you will need to trace the wiring back to see where you are losing it from. Try placing your voltmeter at C & Y coming from your air handler. If not, go to your air handler and test for 24 volts ac at C & Y coming from your thermostat. If you do not have 24 volts coming from your thermostat, there is either a problem with the thermostat or there is a problem with the wiring between the thermostat and the air handler. If you have 24 volts at the air handler coming from the thermostat but you do not have 24 volts at the outdoor unit coming from the air handler, then you have a problem with the wires between the air handler and the outdoor unit.

I hope you find this information to be very helpful to you moving forward. Please leave a rating. :-)

At the furnace, jump the R and W (or T and T) terminals on the circuit board or gas valve. Make sure the door switch is closed with some electrical tape. By doing this we are forcing the unit to start. If it does fire, you have either a bad thermostat or a broken wire to the thermostat. If it does nothing, look for a bad fuse, check for 24 volts going to the gas valve, an open limit switch or 120 volts at the transformer.

I am changing out my intertherm thermostat control. the blue wire is hooked up on B, not on RC, can you tell me why

Because it doesn't belong on RC.

B means "blower" in the antique language of the tradesmen, but nowadays it means "reversing valve". RC means "red cool" or "put 24 volts here to power the cooling system".

The blue wire was not connected to RC because it would not bring 24 volts to the RC terminal.
