The Amazon Fire Stick and Roku Streaming Stick both are streaming devices which are being compared in this article. Today we're going to be taking a look at both systems in order to help you build a better picture of which device would suits your needs most fully. To watch your favorite shows on Roku all you need to do is generate your Roku Link Code and activate your Roku device.
Amazon Fire TV Stick versus Roku Streaming Stick Design and Compatibility differences:

As far as the appearance is considered the Roku is purple in color while the Amazon Fire Stick is available in matte black finishing. Compatibility is equally similar. The Roku Streaming Stick and the Fire Stick support a wide range of devices, including those running on iOS and Android platforms.
Here are a few specifications for the Fire TV Stick:
Provides an HDMI output.
Processor: 1.2GHz Broadcom Capri 28155, dual-core 2xARM A9
Maximum. Output Video Resolution: 1080p
Dimensions: 84.9 x 25x 11.5 mm

The installation process is however much easier and simpler for the Roku Streaming Stick as the Roku account can be easily activated by just generating your Roku Link Code and registering it with the Roku server.

Amazon Fire TV Stick vs Roku Streaming Stick: Content and Channels

Considering the content that is streamed on both the devices, both the Roku Streaming Stick and Fire TV Stick also offer channels which let you enjoy the most popular channels. With the Fire TV Stick you get Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Crackle, YouTube Bloomberg TV, and Pandora, are among some other lesser ones. The Fire TV lacks HBO GO, and other than that offers all the major channels that the Roku Streaming Stick streams.

I want to access Netflix on my television. I have a fire stick but I also get adverts when I use 'on demand' or 'search' etc. How would I pay if I joined on my television?

I use a FireStick and it does have Netflix. I would recommend signing up using a computer first (they give you 1 month free) and then you can use the same credentials to sign into Netflix through the FireStick. If you are asking whether you are already signed up on Amazon Prime, then I suggest you sign into Amazon and check your account through there. If you are, then you will have access to lots of content on the FireStick as well. Hope my answer helped. : )

How do I watch Netflix on a non-smart Vizio TV?

Here are several answers--but keep in mind, they all involve attaching a device of some sort--whether it's a computer, a laptop, a tablet, a phone, or a device like Google's Chromecast, Amazon's Fire Stick or FireTV, or other devices similar to those I just mentioned from Google and Amazon.
You will usually need an HDMI cable to attach your device to the TV (whether it needs an HDMI cable or not depends on whether the device plugs directly into your TV's port or whether it needs a separate cable--of which there are standard HDMI, mini HDMI, and micro HDMI).
The simplest, easiest, and least expensive types of equipment to enable your non-"Smart TV" to view Netflix are the "key-fob" type devices like the Chromecast and Amazon Fire Stick (there are others, but these are the most common, most popular, and well-supported devices.)
You would simply plug the device into your TV's HDMI port, attach the power cable (these devices may be able to draw power from your TV's HDMI port, but often require a separate power adapter to be plugged into them) log onto your Google Play account or Amazon account, download and install Netflix, and log onto Netflix. Usually (but not always) the Chromecast and Fire Stick have Netflix installed, but you may need to update or download and install/reinstall the Netflix app.
