As far as I know apps can't be stored on the SD card, I have looked this up many times for others.

I put an sd card into my tablet but my apps does not give me an option to save to sd card. What am i doing wrong. Not good at this stuff so help.

If it's an android, you can change it within an app - like camera. Go into settings and change default storage location from internal storage to sd card.

If the app can't see your sd card, make sure it's "mounted" within your device. Depending on the software version: Go to settings, general, phone/tablet management, storage, from here you should be able to see the sd card. It is either ejected or mounted. Click on the sd card, if you can see the folders content, then it is installed correctly.

Also, if it was used in another device, it may need to be formatted to be used in your tablet. You can do that from the same setting menu.

Hope this helps.

Can I use a 128GB or a 512GB micro sd card for storage in a BLU 4.0 Advance L3 phone

Apparently 64g is the largest it will take from what I could find. I don't think you should be having an issue with space. If you look up in settings, it should tell you how much capacity is left on your phone.

Cell phone has insufficient storage to download app 6ya. Need answer for R472 Zenith radio. Can someone help?

If your phone has provision for an SD card, then, you just might be in luck.

Step 1:
Insert an SD card and confirm that your phone can truly see it and in turn access it.

Step 2:
Navigate to Settings, then click on Apps/Applications
Once this opens up, scroll to identify app you downloaded and installed on your phone; especially the ones with high ~Mb sizes.

Step 3:
Select or click on one of these apps. A page opens where you'd notice app info
**Force stop
**Clear app data
**Move to storage/Move to SD card

Step 4:
Click on "Move to SD card/Move to Storage"

Do this for every app you installed and get them transferred to the SD card.

This will free up internal memory space so you can install new apps on your phone.

I have a BLU Energy X phone with AT&T. It has 8GB RAM and a 32GB SD card. Why can't I move apps from RAM to SD to free up space on internal memory??

You don't appear to understand what RAM is. Random Access Memory is only used when that app is in use. When you close the app, it moves out of RAM. Ram is not a storage medium.

The SD Card on a phone is a physical storage device and generally used for storing Contacts, Photos, Video and Music.

Download a free app like 'Powerclean' which removes Cache, and cleans RAM.

Delete any Apps you no longer use.

BLU Advance 5.0 Android phone won't let me add apps as there is "insufficient space." File Explorer says phone storage is 99% full but shows few files anywhere in the folders

1) go to Settings, and under Device, click Storage, then click Transfer data to SD Card.
2) go to Settings, and under Device, click Apps, then for every app : click on the app name, then on storage, then on Clear the cache.
3) If you don't want to repeat this cumbersome process manually from time to time, many apps can do it for you. I personnaly use one called AppMgr III, installable from Google Play.

How do I get the 7 in irulu tablet to see an SD card I put in the slot so I can move apps over?

sd card is automatically recognized, however you need to

- set default storage as sd card
- also move apps and data to sd card from memory/storage setting menu individually.
Yet many apps occupy main ram and refuse to release space

Can't move things to sd card

One question. Were you able to move apps to the sd card before?
When you go to settings, storage, does it show the external sd card? I want to explain something first. The sd card is an expandable storage card, but it won't store your apps. If you want to check it out just insert the old memory card in a computer and look for any apps. Smartphones usually comes equip with 2 types of storage:
1. Internal phone memory: which could range from 500mb. to 2gb. of storage. This will be by default the location where the apps would be saved.
2. Internal SD Card: this is an expand storage that is already in the smartphone. Notice that when you see an ad for the phone it usually advertise whether it is 4, 8 or 16gb. That is the internal SD storage.
The third option is the external micro sd card, which is the one you are having problem with.
In storage under settings, see if you have an option to mount the sd card, maybe it's not mounted. You can also clon or copy everything from the old sd card to the new sd card using a computer, and then try it again.

What does code 912 mean? i get this when downloading apps from apps store

There are a few reasons why you would get a 912 error when downloading apps.
  • Downloading apps directly to an SD card
  • Play Store (app store) needs to be updated
  • Bad cache
The following methods could help solve the problem
Clear Cache and Reboot
  • Go to Setting >> Go to Application Setting (In some devices application setting is named as apps).
  • Go to, All the apps > >Find the Google Play Store >> Clear Data and Cache
  • Once you have clear everything, Next you need to Force Stop the application
  • Also, try to clear Cache and data of Download Manager and Google Service Framework.
  • Now, Restart your device and try to download the app.
Unmount SD Card
  • Go to Setting >> Storage >> Scroll down and select "Unmount SD card"
  • Open Google Play Store >> Download the app again that was giving you the error message
  • After successful installation, Go back to Settings >> Storage >> tap on "mount SD card"
  • If above steps didn't work, also try removing your SD card before installing.
Move app to phone
  • Go to Settings >> Go to Apps >> Select, All the apps
  • Scroll down and select the app that was giving you the error during update
  • Select "Move to phone"
  • Open Google Play Store and update the app
  • After successful installation, you can move the app back to SD card
