As far as I know apps can't be stored on the SD card, I have looked this up many times for others.

I have a BLU Energy X phone with AT&T. It has 8GB RAM and a 32GB SD card. Why can't I move apps from RAM to SD to free up space on internal memory??

You don't appear to understand what RAM is. Random Access Memory is only used when that app is in use. When you close the app, it moves out of RAM. Ram is not a storage medium.

The SD Card on a phone is a physical storage device and generally used for storing Contacts, Photos, Video and Music.

Download a free app like 'Powerclean' which removes Cache, and cleans RAM.

Delete any Apps you no longer use.

BLU Advance 5.0 Android phone won't let me add apps as there is "insufficient space." File Explorer says phone storage is 99% full but shows few files anywhere in the folders

1) go to Settings, and under Device, click Storage, then click Transfer data to SD Card.
2) go to Settings, and under Device, click Apps, then for every app : click on the app name, then on storage, then on Clear the cache.
3) If you don't want to repeat this cumbersome process manually from time to time, many apps can do it for you. I personnaly use one called AppMgr III, installable from Google Play.

How do I get the 7 in irulu tablet to see an SD card I put in the slot so I can move apps over?

sd card is automatically recognized, however you need to

- set default storage as sd card
- also move apps and data to sd card from memory/storage setting menu individually.
Yet many apps occupy main ram and refuse to release space

My Nokia 530 Windows phone has no storage space left and as a result I can't get it to open apps to make a call, can't text, take a photo or get through to other apps. Help me, please!

Do you have a micro SD card installed and are you saving images etc. to it? If so maybe removing the card and rebooting may give you better access to the phone, or inserting a new empty SD card.

I have an irulu tablet. I inserted a 32gb sd card. It says it is mounted and when i try to install an app from the google play store i get the message there is insuficient space available. how do i get it...

Most apps do not natively install to an SD card when downloaded from the play store. You have to have an app like AppManager, that has a function to 'move' apps from internal storage to an SD card, or use a manual option in the Android Settings section to move each app individually.. If you are that tight on space that you cannot load any new app, you may have to delete or move something from your internal storage so you can download AppManager or some similar app, and then move as many apps as you can to your SD card. If you have a lot of photos and music you can try moving that to the SD card if your player/viewer software will allow you to find it there. Best way to move bulk items (music/photos, not apps) is to connect to a PC through USB, which brings up your internal storage and the SD card as external USB storage items. Then copy from internal storage to SD card through your PC. Best to establish folders on the SD card to hold these items and then tell your app where they are.

Can't move things to sd card

One question. Were you able to move apps to the sd card before?
When you go to settings, storage, does it show the external sd card? I want to explain something first. The sd card is an expandable storage card, but it won't store your apps. If you want to check it out just insert the old memory card in a computer and look for any apps. Smartphones usually comes equip with 2 types of storage:
1. Internal phone memory: which could range from 500mb. to 2gb. of storage. This will be by default the location where the apps would be saved.
2. Internal SD Card: this is an expand storage that is already in the smartphone. Notice that when you see an ad for the phone it usually advertise whether it is 4, 8 or 16gb. That is the internal SD storage.
The third option is the external micro sd card, which is the one you are having problem with.
In storage under settings, see if you have an option to mount the sd card, maybe it's not mounted. You can also clon or copy everything from the old sd card to the new sd card using a computer, and then try it again.
