Question about The Office Equipment & Supplies

Open Question

We just bought scratch prevention tape to keep our cat from clawing a chair. We put the strip on the chair but now removing the white strip is impossible. It does not separate from the sheet.

You'll have to find the screws that hold the door skins together. Take them out, replace the seal & reverse the order.

If the plastic hinges and the tiny rubber press contact are still on the keyboard, you can align the key over the plastic hinge and press firmly down until you hear the key click back in place.
OR
You can purchase a replacement keyboard from several companies on the Internet. I purchased one from Yall Store - Use this link

OR
You can use a full size USB keyboard and plug it into the laptop's USB port.

Static electricity from adirondack chairs

depending on the feet there can be some rubber feet you can put on these plastic seat's this will stop the static build up in the plastic, also this can help dont leave the seats out in the sun wash them before use (water will remove the static) also dont were any wooly cottons when you use the seat's as the static from you clothes can build up in the seat. hope this helps. other thing you can do is make a grounding copper strip from the seat to the ground but this would not last long as the chair moving and bending.

What's the best type of scratching pad for my cat?

Mine like carpet post and the bottom of the couch. He sometimes likes the cardboard that lays flat on the ground and NOT the cardboard that stands up. I bought the one from Target "boots and barkley" because it is reasonable prices but he just chewed the lower level and no interest in scratching it. So he didn't like A) but likes B) so you just have to figure what he likes. I bought two of the C) and he didn't like it at all, one is still in the package and one open barely used. Guess those will go on craigslist for $5 bucks. So you have to do a trail and error A) BOOTS BARKLEY Corrugate Scratching Post Refill B) CAT SCRATCH BB ARCH CAT SCRATCH C) Cat Scratching Play House

My dog pushes his dog bowls around the floor and it makes a horrid noise, scratches my tiled floor and the water sometimes spills

I bought my dog a bowl with a rubber ring around the bottom a bit like this one http://www.petstore.com/Loving_Pets_Corp._Silver_Bullet_Stainless_Steel_Dish_Dog_Bowls_Stands-Loving_Pets_Corp.-PE07262-DGBFBS-vi.html. This not only solves the problem of the noise and scratches it also prevented my dog from being able to move it very far.

100 Ft. Cat 5e Cable damaged

I suggest soldering them, it is real easy and I could walk you through how but it would still work if you twist the together and elecrtical tape them off. Also were at on the cat 5 is it exsposed? If it is near the end you could just put a new plug on it.

What is this mean

In the scanner unit of the copier there is a white strip that is usually located under the main glass(depending on copy model). The copier shines light (from the bulb on the scan carriage) onto this white strip and reads/measures the reflection coming back from it. The copier knows that this strip should be white (which would be specific value stored in the copier) so to maintain copy quality the copier keeps referencing this strip to make sure it keeps the "white" value and does not loose sight of what white is supposed to be. If the strip becomes dirty/faded/scratched or missing a piece then you will notice a drop in copy quality.
If you were to stick a small black piece of tape onto the white strip the copier will still think that the black tape is supposed to be white but its value in reading the black tape will be completely different to the value it receives from the rest of the white strip. If you now made a blank copy you would get a black line showing up corresponding to the place where you stuck the black tape. BUT the copier still thinks its all white.
May sound a little confusing? but that's the just of it.
