The body naturally produces growth hormone in the pituitary gland, and, as its name implies, it is responsible for cell growth and regeneration. Which part function of the brain you think is most important to human survival?

The most basic definition of "survive" is to continue to live or exist.....

With that in mind, I believe the brain stem would be the most important part of the human brain in terms of the human survival.

The brain stem controls the body's autonomic nervous system, (which maintains the human's blood pressure, temperature, digestion, etc.) heartbeat, breathing, and other involuntary actions of the body that are necessary to sustain life. Without the brain stem, a human would be unable to live, thus unable to "survive."
