When i turn on my tv the picture is fine then it goes darker and it stays darker

First things is check the picture adjustment.Try to adjust the brightness and contrast. If did not work the problem is the backlights of the LCD. Usually in that case the problem is loose connection in the backlights connector. The backlights have high voltage so it may cause of overheat at the connector. So try to check the connection of the backlights at the board of your television.Remove the back cover of the TV and look the conector of the backlights and try to resolder and fix it. Thanks!!!!

The screen is getting darker and darker after turn on. Tried to turn off and turn on again, the screen becomes ok, but soon it is getting darker again

I'm assuming this is a lcd tv. What you have described is typical of a backlight going out. It can be the backlight power supply or invertor going out as well. Depending on the tv size/model/age this can be repair for about $75-$100. It can on some models cost well over $400.

Sowhat you want to do is check for warrenty. Factory warrenty or extened store warrenty. If yu have any get it fixed. If not then you need to get a repair estimate from the service depot or a tv repair shop. You also want to know how much a replacement tv is worth. That way if the estimates are too high you should just get the replacement tv.

LCD screen gone dark, can still hear sound and see image

It wouls appear one of the backlights in the screen is cutting out, this will require the screen to be replaced although in certain circumstances, depending on the age & model of your TV, it is sometimes possible to change the faulty backlight independantly. Take it to a repair centre to get an anaylisis of the type of screen it has.

Screen Half darker

It sounds like your backlight isn't working properly. LCD screens have backlights that illuminate the colors produced upon their surfaces, so that you can easily see the screen without an external light source. In your case, it sounds like your backlights either aren't cailbrated, are damaged, or were produced unevenly.

There is most likely not a fix for this, though most all LCD screens have some form of light distortion. My own LCD screen is slightly brighter around the edges, where the backlights are located, but this is only noticeable when displaying a completely black screen.

Blank Screen

Hi,
sounds like the backlight has gone. Possibly easier to have the screen replaced.
Have you checked that theres no dimmer or light/darker switch on the side et,c.
Also power the device on, in the cradle. if it lights in the cradle, adjust the systems display settings.

My screen is gradually going black. I have had my hp pavilion mx 50 for quite a few years now,(7-8), lately the screen is getting darker and darker to the point where I can no longer read anything on it....

if you can still find one you can replace the backlight on your lcd screen. I Have included a link to show you ecaxtly what i am talking about. However with having a system that old i would highly recommend upgrading to a new computer. Running an older one may limit the programs you are able to use and the connections you can make.

This one
Or I like This one a lot more
