SOURCE: Dishwasher will not spray water from arms

Check for utensils or pot handles that may be hanging below the bottom rack and interfering with motion of spray head.
Clean holes with toothpick.
Check temperature at hot water faucet with meat thermometer. If below 120°F (49°C), turn up thermostat on hot water heater.

SOURCE: water not going through spray arms

Have same problem except big motor spins independent of stripped? impeller. tried to reassemble but seems mechanical or adhesive agent misssing from one shaft or the other and the motor spins the impeller (now tight) only to have it slip off again and stop pumping water.

SOURCE: dishwasher pump will drain but not force water into spray arms

If the washer is not used regularly the shaft can stick to the seals and prevent the motor from spinning. This happens quite regularly for me if I don't use the washer often. You can just take off the bottom panel - after shutting off power to the dishwasher - and access the motor. you should see some fins and then just try to spin the motor by hand. It usually takes about 90 degrees of rotation before the motor breaks free from the seal. You'll have to fight through the spring-like resistance created by the seal-shaft adhesion. After it breaks free the motor spins freely and you should be all set to go. I haven't found a more permanent fix for this other than running the dishwasher more regularly.

I found on my first dishwasher the arm holes were plugged. I had to clean out each and every hole with a small wire. They would not even turn until I cleaned them God luck.

Start button pressed , it starts to drain, you can see the water being drained but it does not cycle to wash

I'm presuming that the empty pump just runs constantly? If that's the case, then this is an anti flood protection. Water from a spill has got into the base of the machine and tripped the flood protection sensor. To cure the immediate problem, pull the machine out and tip it on it's side or back about 45 degrees and the water in the base will run out and the flood protection will reset. The real question is though, how did the water get INTO the base? Most common is that someone used household detergent instead of dishwasher powder or tabs and the foam it created worked its way into the base and then turned back to water as it settled. If this is the case, the tip sideways will be a permanent fix. If not, you will need to trace and cure the leak

Smart auto and normal lights blink after the wash cycle and the unit shuts down

Hello. The error code you're getting is for a drain pump and water level sensor. Check the filter for obstructions such as food, glass, etc. when you "cancel/drain", does the washer in fact, drain? The drain pump very well might have a blockage or obstruction in it causing it to drain too slowly--especially if the drain hose has that notorious one-way valve in it(it's located inside the rubber boot of the drain hose that is clamped onto the drain pump. When the pump is active, there should be 120v at the connector going to the pump. If there is, and the pump is not working, the pump is defective. If there is *not* voltage, then suspect a broken wire or defective main board. I hope I helped you!

How do I fix my Danby Dishwasher? It fills with water then immediately drains.

Most likely the flood switch is triggered. This causes the pump to operate as soon as you start it. Check if the float at the base comes up when you press it by hand. If not the float spring might be stuck and pressing the flood switch underneath.

LG drains and fills at same time.

This is caused by the " the flood" circuit at the bottom of the dishwasher that detects some water leak. Once this circuit detects any water on the bottom of the washer, it immediately switches the pump out circuit on. It consists of a polystyrene float coupled to a micro switch. You need to dry the bottom and then check for leaks (hose or hose clamp).

Over-level water error

I finally found the cause of my "over-level water error", and I fixed it. In my case it was a gummed-up water level float chamber (part #13 in the diagram here). Once I pulled it out, cleaned it, and put it all back together the dishwasher is running fine. What follows are the symptoms I experienced, and some pictures of what I saw and did to fix it.

Symptoms: After nearly 2 years of owning a DMT400RHS, dishes began to progressively come out with sediment on them. They were not being cleaned nearly as well as previously. This symptom seemed to start fairly suddenly and remain for about 2 months. Then, the dishwasher began to occasionally error out, first with "Drain Error" or "Over-level water error", then later consistently with the "Over-level water error":

For awhile we could just restart the dishwasher and it would do a load. Later, however, no matter how many times we restarted, unplugged, etc. it would not continue. Of note, there was never actually a drain problem, as it would always, well, drain.

The error was never triggered during the initial "drain phase". It was always triggered after that phase, when it was filling the tub with water, specifically after it had been filling for awhile. Eventually, we figured there must be a float someplace that was all gummed up and not moving up with the water level.

Well, here's what I found when I finally pulled the entire dishwasher out and laid it down on its side (facing the door, tip it over to your right):

Inside that little box with all the sediment and glop is a wing-shaped float that couldn't move due to the glop. I simply held the whole plastic thing under the sink faucet to rinse it out. I had to take off the tub pan in order to pull off the drain hose that's attached to the back of this chamber. After rinsing it out, I put it back in and the dishwasher seems to be running fine:
