Stuck in the dry cycle

Asko Asea 1502 model. We are currently stuck in the dry cycle. Tried to reboot the system by turning off the circuit breaker for 20 minutes. No effect on the loop system. Still stuck in the dry cycle.

We lost power for 2 days and when the power returned our Asko D5253 dishwasher began making noises as if it is trying to drain. It was not on when the power went out. We tried turning it on and off

Yes, it is stuck in "drain mode" just let it complete the cycle and it will turn off. It may sound like it is on for a long time, but just be patient.

Best regards,
Bill

Dishwasher runs fine but trips circuit breaker at end of cycle

Your heating element might be shorted. Try turning off heated dry and see what happens.

Heat/Dry button

My motto with all electrical systems is: If all else fails reboot. Find the breaker that controls the dishwasher and switch it off for a couple of minutes. this will clear out the electronic buffer. and reset the systems. make sure that the door is not closed, reset the breaker and try to restart your dishwasher.

Our Asko 1885 Dishwasher is stuck in drying mode

Check if the other functions of the dishwasher are OK such us when filling, draining or the heating element heats up properly. The control board may have detected some errors and it is not proceeding. You may have to have the parts involved in the faulty function checked out such as the valves for the drain and the fill if your machine is not filling or draining properly or filters blocked. Check the heating element and inspect the assembly for burns especially on the relays. The machine may not be heating correctly that is why it is not finishing the cycle. If these parts checks out OK, you may want to have the control board checked out or replaced.

My Asea 1502 Dishwasher gets most of the way through a cycle then stops with lights flashing. It is empty of water. What is the problem?

Further to my problem with my 19 year old ASKO ASEA D1502 Dishwasher .
I found a Use & Care Guide online at the ASKO site:
http://www.asko.com.au/downloads/manuals/
(It is an 8MB PDF, only 20 pages scanned)

The manual says flashing lights in the combo I had indicate heater fault.
Manual has good test procedure and I followed that and it showed that the Heater is OK.
Machine works through full cycle but flashes at the end.
It is an old machine so I suppose I just live with it unless anyone has any suggestions.

Asko D1796 will not start properly

It sounds as if you may have A bad control board. It could be causing the heater element to come on when its not supposed to (usually a stuck relay) and not filling the machine with water. you could also have a bad control board AND a bad fill valve, as a stuck relay for the heater shouldn't affect the fill valve circuit. The bad news is that these asko control boards are $350 to $450 for just the part, the good news is that the control board is under a 5 year warranty (for only the part, not the labor to change it) as are the pump motors and any timers. Also, if you are just out of warranty, find your date of installation, as asko warranties start when you install it, not when you buy it (if you moved into the house and it was there when you moved in, and you are the first owner, submit a date of occupancy and that's when your warranty started)
