Question about LG Televison & Video
Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.
The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs.

SOURCE: I have LG DVD Player
The likely reason is that it's not connected to the TV correctly or the wrong input/source on the TV has been selected. The same audio inputs sockets can often be used for multiple video inputs or you may also have connected the audio cables to an audio input that does not relate to the video input you've used.
There are one or two other possibilites as well, but I really need to know the model number of your TV and the type of cable you are using to connect the DVD to the TV.
Please try all of the inputs on your TV and if you need further assistance, please let me know the model number of the TV and the type of cable you are using. You can reply to me by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question.
