There is no such thing, if the mfg. didn't put it in originally it cant be put in. if you misflash the bios you won't have a computer.

A BIOS update may still not allow you to boot up from an USB port.
You can download theBIOS updates and device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from theirdownload page. Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get thecorrect drivers. What web site can i use to get a reboot cd for my computer

You can make a boot cd on most any computer that should work on your computer. If your looking for a restore disk only the manufacturer of your computer system can provide that, you would have to go to their website to see what options they offer. If you just need something to repair a Windows boot problem use your Windows installation cd. Most the major companies put a restore partition on the installed hard drive you can access by pressing F8, F10 or F12 while the machine is starting up. Sometimes you have to go into the system bios menu to get this option, HP computers do this. Press ESC then from the menu press your desired option. If your BIOS is not set to check for boot media in the CDROM before the Hard drive you'll have to change that. I recommend you set the boot order to Floppy, CDROM, Hard Drive then if the option is there the USB would be your last selection in the order.

Can I boot my e-machine M6810 from a usb cdrom drive? My build in cdrom fell apart and my usb cdrom works when the computer is on, but I can't seem to boot from the new cdrom I have tried changing the...

in short - yes! any e-machine, or indeed any computer build in last 5 years can be boot-up from usb port.

you need to enter bios and setu-up as first boot-up device "other", "boot from another devices", i do not remember which one is actually in this particular bios

plug in your external usb cd-rom, or indeed bootable usb-memory or bootable hdd and they should boot and work as they are on the computer.

another issue, internal cd-rom cannot be really disabled as only mechanical, external part stop working, it' logic part is still there and cmoputer therefore "see" it. you can disable it by downloading newest bios which have bit more power and tweaks than old one.

Thank you for your query

Please try the following

1) Switch on PC
2) Press F12, del or the ESC key to enter setup
3) Go to advanced options and then choose boot options
4) In boot options choose USB peripheral to be set as first boot device
5) Save and exit from the BIOS screen

How can i boot up from usb when my bios doesnt have usb option in boot menu

You may not see option for USB drive unless you have a USB drive connected when you go into the BIOS.

Otherwise, you will need to attach a floppy drive, and create a boot floppy that then loads drivers and such for the hardware, as well as the interface, and eventually, the drive itself.

I want to boot from usb but my motherboard has no option to boot from usb drive is there any software which does not require bios booting and can make my usb to directly boot. Thanx if u can...........!

Yes, it is possible to boot to a USB device, even when there is no support in the system BIOS for such a feature. To do this you would need to install a freware utilty, a boot manager, called the PLoP Boot Manager. The PLoP Boot Manager is a small program to boot different operating systems. You can boot the operating systems from harddisk, floppy, CD/DVD or from USB. You can start the boot manager from floppy, CD, network and there are many more ways to start the boot manager. You can install the boot manager on your harddisk. There is no extra partition required for the boot manager.

It can be found at: http://www.plop.at/

HP Inkjet C3100 - Boot up problems

try going into the bios by pressing F2 as the computer boots, then go to boot options and choose to boot from the hard drive first, cdrom second and floppy drive third (if you have one) then save the changes and exit the bios. You computer should boot as normal now.

I hope this helps
